-Great visit! Very Interesting!!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
A tour throughout the history of the Cross of Caravaca from the 16th to the 19th century in Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Italy and the Netherlands. The small copies that are shown in this exhibition arrived in those countries either through some Religious Orders, or carried there by pilgrims who had been drawn to Caravaca and itsmiraculousCross and had decided to pay it a visit. Tradition, culture and religion blend into one another in these unique rooms, where the ineffaceable trace of theCross of Caravaca around the world is shown on their stone walls. This exhibition contains information that has been translated into English, French and German and soon, also into Italian, but we have also gathered data directly from sources written in Czech and Polish. We noticed redness after the journey sitting at the front of boat. Our bad. They also serve drinks such as small bottles of fizz which was nice and refreshing on the way back. Gavin was really friendly and professional and we felt reassured that our boys were in safe hands. Our sons really enjoyed riding the quad bikes on the trails in the national park and learning about the local area from Gavin who is very knowledgeable. They greatly appreciated the cooling swim in the beautiful blue lake half way round and they are keen to return for another trip next time we visit our friends in the area. We are very happy to recommend Gavin and all the team at La Mariposa Hotel where we enjoyed a delicious and very reasonably priced lunch as a family. See more..
- 4.5 Yacht Port Cartagena (71 reviews)
-Convenient location!
Marinas
Our ship had docked at Pier Alfonso XII Cruise Terminal in the natural harbor of Cartagena. This important harbor was established as a major naval center by the Carthaginians in 227 BC. Cartagena was a booming place during the Roman period. Today the harbor is still a busy port and important naval base, capital of the Spanish Navy’s Maritime Department of the Mediterranean since the Spanish Bourbons in the 18th century, but from our vantage point all we could see were hundreds of masts of pleasure boats anchored cheek and jowl. With more than 3,000 hours of sun a year and mild year round temperatures, it’s no wonder this is a popular destination. See more..
- 4.5 Cryptic Escape Room (68 reviews)
-Barco fantasma
Spent 1-2 hours Escape Games

-Great insight.
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Visitor Centers • Historic Sites
In medieval Lorca the castle, and under the protection of the Alfonsina Tower, housed the Jewish quarter of the city. The excavations of this neighborhood have made it possible to know the Jewish houses of the time, with a rectangular floor plan, compartmentalized in rooms, and which can be used for living rooms, kitchens, warehouses and other rooms with different uses. Benches attached to the wall, tinajeros, cupboards, raised alcoves, etc. In lorquina Jewry the Hebrews established their synagogue, an exceptional example of Jewish religious art in Spain. The temple was built underground because according to the laws of the time it could not exceed the height of the churches and this, together with the fact that it was never converted into a Christian temple, has allowed the synagogue to remain in an exceptional state. The Archaeological Park of Lorca Castle has been conceived as a space to enjoy the finds excavated in the Jewish quarter through a walk through the streets of the archaeological remains of the Jewish quarter, discover how were their houses, their trades and traditions, And the feeling of Jewish spirituality with the visit to its exceptional synagogue. See more..

- 4.5 Basilica Santuario de la Vera Cruz (60 reviews)
-Impressive or what.
Churches & Cathedrals
Visited mid week about 10.30am no one there and so plenty of free parking. Easy enough to get to from Calasparra and a Mirador signposted en route where you can get stunning views of the rice fields. TheSantuario itself is quite unlike anything I have seen before. The walkway to the church was lined in ceramics depicting stages of Christs time on earth. And the church itself built into the rockface. Beautiful inside it is so atmospheric with a natural rock roof perhaps only 12 feet high and at the opposite end to the altar an array of different coloured candles in red white and green or blue vases. It is extremely tranquil and I defy anyone who goes in there not to light a candle in memory of a loved one. Very moving place. Outside there is the river and alongside barbeques that are apparently well used by the locals on weekends and there are some lovely tree and flower displays. All free as usual donations welcome. See more..
- 4.5 Museo del Vino (60 reviews)
-Delightful!
Wednesday: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Speciality Museums
We have visited this museum once before, on an organised trip, but we decided to visit again with some friends who had not been to Bullas before. It is very nicely laid out, with an initial area that puts Bullas into geographical perspective. From here, you enter an area for a short multi-media presentation. For those of a nervous disposition, watch out for the glass floor! At the end of the presentation, the screens roll up so that you can look down on a staged setting of a working winery. From here, you can go down to inspect the “winery” closer up and then follow through into the exhibition area that tells all about wine making. Back upstairs again takes you into a final area where, if you are on a pre-organised tour, you may be lucky enough to have a wine tasting! See more..
- 4.5 Chofix (59 reviews)
-Excellent service from start to finish!!!!
Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Taxis & Shuttles
Juan, the gentleman who organised our booking was very efficient and answered all our questions. We had an early morning flight leaving from Reus Airport to London Stansted, and staying in Barcelona, public transport didn't run that early for us to reach our flight on time so we had to search for private taxis. We had been quoted 265 euros plus with other private hires for 2 of us, with an hour and 15 minute journey. We were quoted 129 euros to include tax with Chofix and also we were communicating with Juan on a Sunday and despite this being when most businesses were shut, he was answering. Our driver Manfred was punctual, professional, smartly dressed, the car was luxurious and very clean and also had WiFi. It was very handy as Juan provided us with Manfred's contact number once our payment had gone through which meant we could communicate directly with Manfred the morning of. I was dubious at first using a private hire taxi company, just because I am used to using Uber where the payments are centralised, but Juan and Manfred made the whole experience very enjoyable and relaxing and so this allowed us to continue feeling restful to maintain the 'holiday feeling.' A huge thumbs up, would definitely recommend Chofix to everyone! See more..

Very enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide Magui, who also looks after the delightful shop. Great range of wines, and also available on line. Our tour included tastings and light tapas to accompany the wines.Although this was our second visit we still learnt a lot from the tour. Good, easy communication with the Bodegas prior to our visit. Tours available in English and Spanish. We will return! See more..

- 4.5 Castillo de Jumilla (51 reviews)
-€2 Castle Admission - Fantastic Views
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
A lovely way to spend a few hours on a Sunday to see this castle and quite a nice walk up the top . The path we went up is up is 1.2Km & quite steep in places (max.16.5% gradient) It must be the path the bus takes. The path is flat & paved, with a bicycle lane painted to one side. We parked our car at the bottom of the path, as the sign there clearly says vehicles are prohibited, however cars & motorcycles did drive up though ? It was a leisurely 25-30min walk up to the castle, taking in the views over Jumilla and beyond as we went. The entrance fee is now €2 per person. There were plenty of interesting displays and information about the castle and its history & renovation work. There is a seating area outside the castle, so you can sit & take your time surveying the fantastic views. From the top, we could see another, winding small path which is on the opposite side to where we walked up and looks to be a more steeper climb. Overall well worth the visit. See more..

- 4.5 La Bastida (50 reviews)
-One of the best places i have visited in Spain
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
Prehistoric settlement from 1600 to 2100BC. Take a guided walk around this site which once housed 1000 people from the Agaric culture. This hierarchical society had slaves and lived mostly on cereal. They buried their dead in cysts or pots within their houses. It is an absolutely fabulous opportunity to understand a very different way of life. Ancient Troy is the closest civilisation to this one. You finish the tour in a reproduction of the homes you have been walking through. Mind-blowing. See more..
- 4.5 The Siyasa Museum (49 reviews)
-Little gem - must visit!
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
On our way to the almond trees in bloom, we made a stop in Cieza to visit this museum. The people at the reception were very friendly and welcoming. We received a brochure and were introduced to the lay-out of the museum. Entrance was free. The building is very modern, bright and open. There are very different and many artefacts from many epochs found in the surroundings of Cieza, formerly called Siyasa. An arab town from the 11nd century was found there and the museum has many original pieces on display. We liked it a lot. Not to be missed! See more..

-Stunning church in Murcia
Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums • Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
I done a walkabout tour of Murcia, was very impressed with the city, certainly a very different city to march around, I have done a few Spanish cities, and they are much more open planned, whereas this is all closed in, but really nice too! In amongst is this beautiful church, unfortunately it was closed the day I came here, and the pictures of it's interior look stunning, might be back next summer, so I'll give it a go then. See more..
- 4.5 Playa De Los Cocedores (48 reviews)
-Well preserved beach
Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
One of my favorite beaches. Fine sand beach, located between Murcia and Almería, with easy access by land area and parking. The views are magnificent, the area is still preserved in the water, surrounded by stones, enabled by the esparto cookers and the caves excavated in the sandstone. It is worth climbing the right cliff to see the incredible views and the remains of shells, from thousands of years ago, trapped in the stone. Natural beach that deserves to be preserved and respected. See more..
