Having gone on a New Year Adventure Experience with Canterbury travel to Pyha we were looking to add a meeting with Santa to allow our children to thank him for their presents which the travel provider couldn’t help with. Having found them online, Call of the Wilderness did a great job, picking us up from our hotel and setting up a private meeting in a hut in the woods. Seeing the experience at the Santa Claus village in Rovaniemi on the way home I’m so glad we did this, it was personal and so special for the kids to meet Santa in his home The cost was also very reasonable, it’s a great experience for kids and adults if you’ve not got it as part of your package when visiting Pyha!See more..
We did the guided fatbike tour with Lapin Luontoelamys on New Year's Day and it was a brilliant way to start the New Year! The guides were absolutely fantastic and helped our children (aged 11 & 12) to persevere with the first part of the tour. The guides gave lots of encouragement and support and the children soon felt confident on their fat bikes. The scenery was amazing and it was so peaceful riding through the snow. We stopped part way for warm juice and cookies - in a hut with a real fire - to warm up. The whole experience was fantastic and made all the more so by the guides! This is a great trip and I would recommend it for families with children over 8 years old who are confident cyclists. The fatbikes take a bit of getting used to but, once you are peddling, it is a great experience. Downhill is awesome! And I loved cycling across the frozen lake!See more..
We had a perfect day on the snow mobile I’ve fishing safari with our three children aged 6, 12 and 13. This is a small family run business and it feels very personal, our guide was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was only the five of us and one couple but this is a small group company and it felt very special. The route for the snowmobiles took us through beautiful forests to the lake and home via the hill view of the sunset. At the lake our host taught us how to drill the ice and fish. He also chatted to our kids while we made a fire on the ice and made us sausages and hot juice. I couldn’t recommend this company more highly.See more..

The snow igloo experience was amazing. The traditional Finnish sauna and the bath in the frozen lake were experiences we'll never forget. We made a very good choice with the traditional dinner - it's well worth it. The atmosphere in the LR Saloon is intimate and so friendly. And the scenery is like in a fairy tale. Our family had a spectacular easter friday outside in lovely weather with Hannu and Reetta. We had some warm drinks, cold drinks and sausages next to the fire. Our toddler had a fun time with their young one while we enjoyed the views and serenity of the nature. Hannu also showed us kite flying which im sure to try next time with skis or a snowboard. The day really couldnt have gone better, time just flew by. Highly recommended!See more..

What a wonderful trip to Pallas-Ylläs national park! Cant wait to go back next fall. Our two day trip included canoeing and flyfishing in the Äkäsriver followed by overnight hike to Pyhätunturi. This was our first trip to the wilderness and were pleased to have such a great guide as Jussi leading the trip. His passion, professionalism, experience topped with great sense of humor showed through and made the trip even better. Jussi was also very flexible with timing and other arrangements. With that said I would highly recommend Jussi to anyone looking for a similar experience. See more..

I did not have any pre booking done and just walked in to the LuontoLoma Pro Safaris office near by our accommodation. Service was really good and helpful. They managed to provide bicycles and kayaks and canoe for two adults and two kids. Bicycles were in top quality, one electric fat bike and three full suspension bicycles. We did cycling trip in a one day around Saariselkä and then canoe trip in another day in Lutto river. Lutto river nature, trip and rapids were really nice and manageable. Our 12 years son managed all the way without any major issues.See more..
During our 1 week stay in Lapland we (4 people from Germany) booked a private snowshoe night tour with Pihka Outdoors. Joona was a fabulous guide and everything was well organized. We walked on a private path and felt like being pushed into the movie of ‚cronicles of Narnia‘. Trees full of snow looking like little creatures, untouched nature , snow glittering like diamonds and pearls. Joona was not tired to look out for northern lights which we finally did. We will be back and would 100 percent again book a tour with pihka . It was an unforgettable awesome experience. See more..
This was a great rafting trip for our pre-wedding group. This Finland rafting organization was very professional and showed us a great time. It took you down the rapids 2 times: once just to get the feel of it and the second time doing maneuvers to show off the skill...or not! It was a great adventure and a little wet for a few on the second trip down the rapids. Thanks to Risto and company for showing us a wonderful time!See more..
