Modern Woodmen Park is a very attractive & intimate minor league baseball park on the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa. Immediately adjacent to the ballpark is an amusement park that overlooks the outfield. The park is a unique sight as you drive north from Rock Island, Illinois across the Centennial Bridge into Downtown Davenport. One problem with the otherwise ideal location of this attraction: Spring flooding of the Mississippi is a common occurrence, which again in 2019 has delayed the home opening weekend for the resident Quad Cities River Bandits (aptly named) because access to the facility is blocked. Winter in the Great plains I can remember growing up playing hockey out in the backyard when we emptied water to freeze over the grass. A nice night for developmental hockey... fun... Players are trying to get college scholarships..plus training for referees and coaches.. It's been around for 41 years.... plenty of participants went on to college teams and the NHL. A really great place for families. It's easy to see that you could take a large group to the game and have a good time there is about 10 of us. We don't really drink too much anymore but everybody has a beer there's some great craft beers there. You can also get mixed drinks. And simple food like popcorn pizza and there's some other food you can get there too hot dogs etc. Bring a pad to sit on, and make sure you dress warm. It's a really classic old arena where you can enjoy a nice winter's night. See more..

This is a great small town pool and Reinbeck is lucky to have such a nice facility! They have a water slide, zero depth entry, diving board and high dive, and geysers. Concession stand is available with limited hours.See more..

We saw 2 basketball courts with nice floors, and the bleachers were very nice (something that seems to be an after thought at some places). The restrooms were clean, and the concession stand had quite a bit of variety. The only negative thing I have to say is that parking was across the street in a gravel lot and was very limited (there was an archery event going on at the same time).See more..

Spent 2-3 hours Sports Complexes My visit to Riverfront Stadium in early June 2019 was to attend Northwoods League games involving University of Arizona Wildcats players. My seats for the 2 games were in the reserved box seats adjacent to the visiting teams, Mankato, Mn. MoonDogs, dugout. The ballpark is located in Waterloo's Edgewater Park on the north shore of Cedar River with plenty of free parking. The stadium has been nicely maintained and provides a comfortable venue to watch a baseball game. The staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful including waitress service at you seat so you do not miss any of the game. The pre game and between innings activities were enjoyable. The video scoreboard provides player stats and other info. Job well done by the entire organization! The games were both competative, guality college baseball with both teams winning a game. I will be returning to Riverfront Stadium on June 25 for the LaCrosse, Wi. Loggers game.See more..

I am mostly writing about the tennis facilities. The outdoor courts are great, good surface, good lighting and nicely maintained. The indoor courts are well-used for lessons, workouts, recreational and good players are all here. For indoor courts the conditions are perfect, nice lighting, surface, temperature are all perfect. The lights are not obtrusive like in many facilities. Overall a great and relativity inexpensive place for tennis.See more..
