    Spent 1-2 hours Observatories & Planetariums
    Ashton Observatory is a great way for kids to "get their feet wet" and experience the night sky. I took my 8yr old grandson who just got a telescope for his birthday. The man who greeted us showed him how to use the telescope, gave simple explanations & coached him on viewing the moon. Saw Saturn & rings. Thanks to the volunteers from the Des Moines group that makes this possible. See more..
