4.5Figge Art Museum(316 reviews) - The Figge never disappoints Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Art Museums
This was our second time here, and we were pleasantly surprised to get in free as they were offering free admission in July. We loved most of the exhibits, but especially enjoyed the POP Power exhibit, the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit, and the carnival exhibit. This is s beautiful art museum and Davenport is very lucky to have it. It’s well worth your time to spend an hour or two here. Be sure to check out the awesome gift shop too.See more..

Once the private home of a lumber heiress, the Musser Museum features many distinctive architectural details of the Edwardian period. Funded in part by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts. 4.0Blanden Art Museum(17 reviews) - Lovely Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Art Museums
The Blanden is a great, understated asset to this community. I love taking my family there. For Fort Dodge being a smaller city, and one not particularly known for its "culture", there is a great selection of art work. The building is quiet and well kept. It's the perfect little get away for a few hours. I would love to see this grow.See more..

4.0University of Iowa Museum of Art(5 reviews) - Small Space, Varied Collection, Worth The Visit. Don't Miss The Dagger Drawers! Spent < 1 hour Art Museums
Background: On a Vermont to Mid West drive, we stopped over at the Iowa House Hotel in Iowa City. Located within the same building is the University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA). Before restarting our road trip, we hung around for UIMA to open. We're glad we waited! Verdict: Though UIMA is located in a small space, it has a varied collection of objects displayed in tasteful, thought provoking ways. Many cultures were on display; don't miss the drawer of antique daggers drawn from all over the world or the modern Andrew Warhol print, Another hidden gem were two Charles Eames Compact Sofas situated outside the museum doors. We're glad we visited; it was well worth the slight delay in our travel schedule! Would definitely return for another visit if we return to Iowa City!See more..
4.5Charles City Arts Center(3 reviews) - Big art in small town! Friday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Art Museums
I recently moved to Charles City and was delighted at the quality of the local art center! Not only do they offer a number of programs and classes for the community but they always have wonderful installations on display. They frequently change installations and always have a grand opening event which is a great way to get the feel of "city culture" in small town Iowa! The Charles City Art Center is something that I am proud of when I talk about my new hometown!See more..
