The Figge never disappoints

This was our second time here, and we were pleasantly surprised to get in free as they were offering free admission in July. We loved most of the exhibits, but especially enjoyed the POP Power exhibit, the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit, and the carnival exhibit. This is s beautiful art museum and Davenport is very lucky to have it. It’s well worth your time to spend an hour or two here. Be sure to check out the awesome gift shop too.

The area with really old paintings is really cool
There is a section in the museum that has very very old paintings and they are gorgeous. The newer sections with some of the winners makes you scratch your head on judges as some of them are just terrible. Also they have a painting of just a black canvas which is apparently art... Um no. Anyway its not worth the money to see so go on a free day. Also unless you have hundreds to thousands of dollars to spend.. Don't even browse the gift shop.

Ever time I visit the Figge Art Museum, there is always something spectacular to view.
I took my husband to the Figgi so he could view Rose Frandsen’s “Portraits of Maquoketa” before it went on tour again. We were not disappointed. The exhibit was spectacular, to put it mildly. There were other wonderful things to view that day also. I love everything about the Figgi. On the first Thursday of each month, they have Senior Citizens day were Seniors get in free. They also have guided tours for the Seniors. I recommend this for the entire family, young or old.
