A nice, but small museum that has interesting items and explains about technology and science. Most texts are translated in English, but the interactive stuff are in German. Kids wouldn't probably enjoy it, and if you are visiting bonn for a short time, i wouldn't recommend it. See more..

The area of the exhibition site doesn't seem too large at first, but this is deceptive because you can't see the underground parts of the signposted tour from the outside, of course. A trip to the Energeticon is definitely worthwhile and you can easily spend 2-3 hours there if you look at the detailed explanations that are placed next to the exhibits. Particularly noteworthy are the many small exhibition experiments that you can actively perform. This is especially pleasing for families with children. We were only a little disappointed that the restaurant Eduard, located in the entrance building, is closed on Tuesdays. There are no alternatives offered. There is free parking on the premises, and there is even some covered parking. See more..

This museum was difficult to find due to the adjacent massive construction work, which makes parking a challenge as well. Some renovations ongoing inside the museum, too. Interesting museum, but will be much better one the construction dust has settled. Closes 4pm on weekdays. See more..

To reach its highest point one has climbed a whopping 189 steps, and then of course later all 189 steps down again, but regardless od such still worth it. On different floors in the massive 180 feet high Schwanenturm (Swan tower) an exhibition of rocks and palaeontological finds from the Lower-Rhine. The collection, which is collected in nearly 50 years, shows how this landscape was formed some 200,000 years ago by an enormous glacier which stretched from the North Pole to this area. This pushed the earth forwards thus forming the moraines at the Rhine Valley. Furthermore info about its prehistoric flora and fauna, a portrait gallery of personalities, a fortress scalemodel as well as a wonderful view over the city and its surroundings, even into in Netherlands.
