    We timed our visit to Bonn just right. I heard about the cherry trees before arriving in Germany and was told that there is only a couple of weeks where they look beautiful and are blooming. We went last night and saw a few very sad looking trees, lining a street... Thinking we had got it very wrong we made our way back into town and on our way,happily stumbled across gorgeous plump pink blossoms bending over above us. A beautiful sight.     Translates into English as recreational area, and has something for the whole family. There is a large play/exercise area situated next a cafe. A small lake is home to a selection of wildfowl and also has paddle boats for hire. A smaller pond where the kids can feed the ducks, a gravel basketball court, and even the ruins of a Roman bath house. Great for a walk either on its own, or part of a longer walk along the river Wurm. See more..

    It is always a pleasure to visit the Klosterkirche when in Wuppertal. I was born in the convent which forms part of the Church. When you go inside,there is always a serene feeling,and it is a wonder to see the outstanding decor. If you are able to gain entry to the original chapel attached,you will be astounded to be in a chapel over 600 years old,with many of the ordinal features still there.
