Myself and 4 friends attended the BVB v Stuttart match, we stayed in Koln and traveled to Dortmund by train, lots of friendly BVB and Stuttart fans on the train. Took the S bahn to the stadium where we had a beer and food outside before buying souvenirs in the Fan shop (Fan Welt), Entered very early and had a few more beers with some BVB fans before taking our seats, fantastic atmosphere, helped by Dortmund winning 5-0, the Yellow Wall was in full voice while everyone around us were great craic. Our friends from earlier then took us to their local bar for more fun. After a great day we had to say goodbye to our new friends and head back to catch our train to Koln and have a great fun journey with more BVB & Stuttgart fans. A wonderful experience with lots of happy people & no sign of any hooliganism, if you want a great football trip with no hassle head for the Signal Induda, i have been on many football trips but this was one of the best. A nice stadium to match a sporting event. I came here with some friends to watch Koln Haie play the Iserlohn Roosters. As we had front row seats, were right on top of the action. The only downside was that it was impossible to see the puck when the play was up close. Other than that, the stadium was easy to navigate and easy to get to from the metro, although the stadium is really only 25 minutes walk to the old town. See more..

My friend and I have been taking in one or 2 European games every year for the last 5 years or so, and we returned to the Veltins recently for another match. This stadium is very impressive and easily the best we have seen in Germany, including Munich's stadium. The whole experience is fantastic, from the pre-match fan zones around the stadium to the match experience itself. The food outlets are numerous and very well run, but you need to purchase a pre paid card, as the outlets don't accept cash. The atmosphere inside the stadium is electric, and you cant help but enjoy the experience. If you can only ever do one German game, then this is the one. See more..

We booked a tour whilst on a day trip from Düsseldorf. The Ticket covered public transport from the city center to the stadium making it so easy and a great price! We were told the tour would be in German which we were fine with as we would still get to see the stadium. Before I go on I want to say THANK YOU to Paul, the tour guide who included us and made a great effort to repeat most of the German discussion and facts in English for us. He did not have to and it was very kind of him. He made us feel very included. The tour started at the fan shop, into the small museum before heading into the stands.. and what a view! Then through various areas including the private boxes, down in to thr changing rooms and the tunnel (with the music piped into it) before going pitch side. A fantastic experience. So glad we did it! Amazing experience with my Dad and boyfriend. We saw them play Hertha Berlin in the second home game of the season, atmosphere was nothing short of electric! Very value friendly stadium with a beer garden type are with food trucks and pints on the go, on the north entrance. Here you can get large beers 50cl/500ml for 4.50€ and a hot dog for 3€ we also indulged in an apple tart like dessert that fed three of us for 5€! Parking was a dream as there was a parking capacity for nearly the whole stadium. Very efficient and perfectly German. Would definitely come back here again. See more..

When my friend and I visited the Bay arena recently for a match, the first thing I noticed was the lack of pre match atmosphere, I suppose that we expected so much more after our previous visits to Schalke, Dortmund and Bayern Munich, to mention just a few of the German grounds we have visited. The ground itself was quite impressive, and I have to say that gaining access to the ground was possibly the easiest we have encountered. We had good seats in the east tribune, wit an excellent, unhindered view of the pitch. Like all of the German stadiums, beer and hot snacks are available inside. The game itself wasn't bad, though I think that Frankfurt could have tried harder. This ticks off another German ground for us, and I would go back again, though next time it would need to be a match against one of the bigger, more fancied clubs, if only to see if the pre match atmosphere is any better. Still worth a visit if you haven't been before. See more..

We got last minute tickets online for a Friday night home game and had a great time! Transport to and from the stadium from the Hbf was really easy and great that match day travel is included in the price of the ticket. The stadium is modern with good facilities and minimal queuing to get in it for loos/food/drink. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great, helped Fortuna scored four! We were visiting Germany to take in a number of football matches and managed late on Friday night to get tickets for the game on Saturday. It is a really nice stadium, not far from the centre of town, with a tramlink right to the door. It was a great atmosphere outside and inside the ground, with a near full capacity of around 20,000. Made even better by the fact the home team won (probably unexpectedly), and the fans went crazy. Great singing and celebrating and throwing beer in the air. Well worth a visit if you love football. I have visited this stadium in Duisburg for an American Football Game. The stadium is mid size which made it very easy to create a good atmosphere. The stadium is very modern an offers enough space around for Food & Drinks suppliers, fan-zone, stage with live music and clean sanitary facilities in a good condition - which is rare in a stadium. The stadium is close to the city center of Duisburg and easy to reach. Still it is very green around. There is sufficient parking for a very reasonable price. And different from other stadiums it is easy to reach your car and leave after the game. See more..

This stadium is an absolute must visit whenever you are in Dortmund. I have been to a football game here and also took the stadium tour which is equally as impressive. Unfortunately on the day I was in Dortmund they didnt have any English tours available so I joined a German tour which seemed very thorough with the information. I wish that I had organised my trip better in order that I could have went on the English tour to understand more about the stadium. Dont make the same mistake I did and organise to visit when there is an English speaking tour and I can imagine it would make the experience so much better. See more..
