By far not enough seating possibilities around entrances and exits of attractions. Decoration getting very tired. Gardens are very basic. Show was what you expect so satisfying but not surprising. Catering Nice divers with acceptable pricing. But at the end the kids liked it but where not really eager to come back another time.See more..

I was finally able to return to Essen, Germany for an annual conference that was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID. I deliberately chose the hotel I did because it was right next to the amazingyy peaceful garden of Eden. When I was here in 2019, my wife had to remain in the states to care for her ailing father. He died right before I arrived in Essen. I was so torn up that I walked through this park in an absolute downpour for several hours trying to come to grips with not being able to be there for my wife. Life is that way. I was now able to walk through this park on a warm, sunny day with a different perspective even though we are all still facing COVID. This is literally one of the most beautiful places to simply enjoy the wonderful creations of flora and fauna. This time they had a wonderful exhibit called Fearless Women. I visited this theme park with my wife, her parents, and our 2 sons (aged 6 & 4) whilst on holiday nearby in July 2017. The park was small and quiet, which was a nice change from other, larger, parks. The all inclusive option for fries, ice cream, soft drinks and hot drinks was well used and enjoyed by all. The overall atmosphere in the park was great and the staff were all friendly, this in addition to short queues made for a great day out. On a negative point, we felt, the height restrictions were somewhat over cautious. Having been to Phantasialand in Germany and Disneyland Paris in recent years the rides on offer there were more thrilling, faster and suitable for a younger height. There are little houses recreating scenes of famous fair y tale -there are a few which aren't very popular in all the world but in Germany. That's because it's a German fair y take forest. I think it's a very good experience to go there and be connected with the nature. You only have to see the kids faces and their happiness - then you understand that's worth it. This park has lots of deer, with quiet a few that are used to having people near them, so they come up really close. The park consists of 2 areas. The first, is really well suited for people with walking disability's, the second part isn't, because you have to cross a bridge with stairs. But the first is the biggest and most worth it.
