    Ah , that time of year when the Christmas market in Bonn is in full swing !! In my opinion it is one of the nicest Christmas markets in Germany having visited the ones in Köln , Berlin , München , Frankfurt , Düsseldorf and a few other snaller ones ! The smell of candied Almonds , roasted chestnuts , Reibekuchen (potato pancakes ) Currywurst and Glühwein ( Mulled wine) hits your sense of smell as you approach the Market !! It is heavanly ! The atmosphere is joyful as people are in the Christmas spirit walking leisurely appreciating all the different Stalls to be explored ! Also the singing reindeer ad a nice touch and give it that extra little something !!! All in all , when in Bonn I highly recomemd visiting the Christmas Market more than once as every time I go there is something else to be discovered !! See more..

The festival does provide a giant beer tent, but the main draw remains the 500-odd showmen and their roller coasters, ghost trains, games, and curios spread out over an 111,000-square-meter space. Originally founded in the 15th century as a horse market, Cranger Kirmes soon evolved into an entertainment event replete with jugglers and magicians.
