Although we never seem to win anything at this casino and were offered no comps even though it had been over 11 years since we had been there. We did enjoy breakfast in the cafe which was very reasonably priced and portioned to fit the cost. Unfortunately, their buffet always was our favorite while visiting on the bus tours but was not open when we were there this time. See more..

Hotel was great! spent 2 nights and 3 days. If you need something to drink....forget it.Found out why on my day walking out, Had 4 servers by the bar by door to elevators talking with bartender about everything from if they were dating to taking about other workers Bartender took 25 minutes . Timed it, just to ask what they needed to bring to people who ordered drinks, I ordered a drink while playing. After half hour gave up, thats why i played at the bar, Wish I could have taped what they spoke about. All I heard was complaints of how it was slow. Maybe if they did their job instead od standing around bulls....iting they would make money. Our hotel woman was awesome,Room was clean. But that bartender JULY 21 was the worst I have ever seen, Only worried about hooking up with waitresses,,,Doesnt care about a customer. See more..

    The Crossroad image
Would you sell your soul to the devil in exchange for musical success? Well that, according to legend, is what Delta blues musician and songwriter Robert Leroy Johnson, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, did one dark and mysterious night. It is not known where that legendary event supposedly took place but the town of Clarksdale, the "Home of the Blues", has staked a claim to the spot by placing a giant guitar where Highway 61 (the 'blues highway') crosses Highway 49 (the road to Parchman Prison, which features in many blues songs). Worth stopping for a photo but be careful of traffic. If you want a snack, there are refreshments outlets nearby. See more..

  12. 3.5 Gulf Islands Water Park (179 reviews)
    - Fun but needs changes
    Water Parks
    Gulf Islands Water Park image
Here is the good things about the Waterpark. We are grandparents with small young granddaughters the slides were great since they are all 42" minimum. The Waterpark is small and wasn't very crowded with maximum wait of 15 minutes for best slide, most slides were less than 5 minute wait. The bad things. First you are unable to bring ice chest or food which puts too much pressure on lone restaurant. Long waits to order food, then have to wait in another line again to get burger or hot dog grilled, food was pretty good but had to wait over 30 minutes from start to finish. Second we reserved a cabana, received 8 cold waters but nothing at cabanas to keep water cold and with no ice chest water gets hot fast. We had fun but place needs some changes to make it better. - Wave pool and waterslides
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM State Parks
    Buccaneer State Park image
There are two different things to experience at this state park - the camping and the wave pool. I have never camped here but as someone who has spent a lifetime camping it appears to be a pretty good spot simply due to location. I come here for the wave pool. At $19 a visit it can be pricey, however, I usually get a season pass for $60 and visit multiple times during the summer. I enjoy relaxing in the shaded areas and feeling the gulf breezes. I also enjoy both of the waterslides as well as dips in the wave pool. I don't usually eat here but I didn't find the prices to be all that unreasonable. The changing areas are clean and there are showers throughout the property. There is a large covered area underneath the main building for those trying to keep out of the sun. It is a very good place to get away to just to relax and it is even better mid-week when it is less crowded. See more..

My family & I visited this casino today 2/8/14. I had one of the most horrible experience ever. We come at least 3-4 times a year with a large group. Today the machines were doing fair for most part, then one of the associates came and did something to one of the machines we was on. It did not hit any more after that (suspicious huh) Then we sat and had dinner which was $25/pp the server/service was HORRIBLE. I asked to speak to a manager, some guy said he was a supervisor and begin to hear our issue. My glass was empty for at least 30 min. The server had an attitude when I asked for a refill. I told the supervisor this will be this group last time coming. We will support our own state or go to Tennessee. He went on & on about some nonsense. I did not fill comforted at all. Therefore our money will go elsewhere. Go luck in business and I hope it get better for the rest of your customers. Count this 100 out!! See more..

  18. 3.0 Tupelo National Battlefield (118 reviews)
    - Small battlefield in Tupelo
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites • National Parks • Battlefields
    Tupelo National Battlefield image
There really isn't much to it but a memorial, a cannon, and some graves. That said, it is worth taking the time to walk the ground and see what is left of a battlefield that has been enveloped by commercialism and property grabs. There is a little sliver of a parking area just off the road, but you would be best served driving past the battlefield and doing a turn around to park facing direction of travel. I wonder if Elvis was ever "in the building" as a kid when he lived in Tupelo? See more..

Our stay was OK not great. Pool, lazy river and bar were nice. Dinner buffet was horrible. Workers were very rude, food tasted like it was cooked the day before and not hot. My sisters and I all got sick after eating. Room was OK, except the drawers kept opening after we closed them. And we spent a lot of money at casino and never got even a dollar off of buffet. No incentives after playing three days. See more..

We were in the area for the 2017 Cruise the Coast event. The facility is nice with plenty of room for vendors. Didn't know this place existed but glad I found it. There is always some discount going on like bring Coke cans for a discount off ticket prices. For us, it was bring a back to school item. 23. 3.0 Lady Luck Casino (57 reviews)
    - Great Gambling!
    Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Casinos
    Lady Luck Casino image
Gambled here for 2 days and can honestly say that this was the best casino out of the 4 for winning money. I was only playing penny slots but ended up leaving with a nice sum of money. The restaurant, Otis and Henry's was great for a nice meal and glass of wine. The food was amazing as was the wait staff. Our server that night was so friendly, I can't remember his name. The only negative about this casino is that the slots need some TLC. Cards wouldn't go in and you couldn't push buttons but if you see the way people slam them you soon understand why. Another negative was the drink service. One girl on for the whole casino at night and the drinks tasted like dishwater, as in no alcohol at all. See more..

  25. 3.5 Wall Doxey State Park (54 reviews)
    - Day trip
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM State Parks
    Wall Doxey State Park image
Was a little concerned after reading some of these reviews, but we found Wall Doxey State Park very nice. We only planned a day trip to picnic, fish, and walk trails. The camp sites were all full, kids were playing at the playground, the grounds were very well manicured, the picnic areas were clean, and the toilet rooms were clean (for a State Park... not like a restaurant). The trails were fun and had some good elevation change. There were markers along the short trail. Not sure they are accurate on the distance... lol walked them both and fitbit says we walked 4 miles and traversed 10 flights of stairs! Only negative was the lake was a little "mossy", and the banks weren't cut to walk around and fish. Cost $5 to "walk the banks" and fish, but really only got to stay on the docks. Definitely worth a day trip! See more..

    Snowden Grove Amphitheater image
Went to see Steve Miller Band last night. I’ve been to a few shows here and there really aren’t any “bad” seats and the sound is good. My complaint is that the website, social media and signs at the door are not accurate. The parking suddenly changed(yesterday I was told by attendant)from free or as the site says “included in ticket price” to $20.00. Then when we arrived at the gate our properly sized and “factory sealed” water was taken by security. The gate sign clearly said it was allowed as does the website. Oh, the same bottle of Kroger brand water was $5.00 inside....SMH. See more..

    Roosevelt State Park image
I was traveling thru and needed to stop for the night. While this state park could use some major upkeep I must say that it's a beautiful location. The park staff was very friendly. The downside is that it really does need some upkeep. The women's room in the main office building had mold/mildew on the ceiling. The roads and campsites are in rough condition. I gave this campground 4 stars though because it was VERY clean and quiet and I very much enjoyed my stay. The park was only about 10% full though. Not sure how it would be during the busy season. Not sure it's a destination but it's fine for a night if you need hook ups and are tired of driving See more..

    Historic Sites
    Rosemont Plantation image
We turned the car around for an unplanned side trip when we saw the signage on Highway 61. By the time I researched "how far off the road?", we reached the drive (less than 5 minutes, I would say). From the street, it was a leisurely 5 minutes or so pleasant drive back in time to Rosemont, where time can stop in the 19th century. Some reviewers mentioned dogs. We laughed aloud when we saw one dog out front sound asleep on sidewalk. It remained asleep. A pleasant young man offered us the tour that included inside the house or the tour of the grounds. Short on time, we opted for the grounds. The cemetery was interesting. We looked in the windows and tried the porch swing. Rosemont beckoned deep breaths, taking in the fresh air and scenery and history. Leaving, we found the information shed with interesting audio and printed history (intended for the start of the tour). More than an hour could be spent by those interested in history or longing for relaxation in porch swing. See more..
