  1. 3.5 Gulf Islands Water Park (179 reviews)
    - Fun but needs changes

Here is the good things about the Waterpark. We are grandparents with small young granddaughters the slides were great since they are all 42" minimum. The Waterpark is small and wasn't very crowded with maximum wait of 15 minutes for best slide, most slides were less than 5 minute wait. The bad things. First you are unable to bring ice chest or food which puts too much pressure on lone restaurant. Long waits to order food, then have to wait in another line again to get burger or hot dog grilled, food was pretty good but had to wait over 30 minutes from start to finish. Second we reserved a cabana, received 8 cold waters but nothing at cabanas to keep water cold and with no ice chest water gets hot fast. We had fun but place needs some changes to make it better. Didn't know this place existed but glad I found it. There is always some discount going on like bring Coke cans for a discount off ticket prices. For us, it was bring a back to school item. The little Dollar Tree items I bought knocked $5 off of each of our tickets. There is fun for all ages but the majority is for those over 48 inches. My kids had fun for a little over 3 hours here. We visited the Dunn Falls with low expectations. Well it was Heavenly ! There are trails in the area but, the Falls were magnificent ! We spent at least 3 hours walking in the river and the Falls. The river has a very rocky bottom so be very careful walking in it . The current is somewhat strong. Keep an eye on your little kids. There is a cabin that can be rented also. I can’t wait to go back . I would recommend a picnic lunch, fast food is scarce around there! See more..
  6. 4.0 Grand Paradise Water Park (30 reviews)
    - Fun!
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
    Grand Paradise Water Park image
This is not a large water park but its so nice because its not crowded at all. It's more geared toward younger kids with the lazy river, 3 kiddie areas with splash pools and slides, but there are 4 big water slides too. There are covered cabanas throughout for rent. There are several places for shade. The food prices are reasonable as are the admission prices. Well worth the trip! My only advice is to wear swim shoes because the pavement gets really hot! 9. 1.0 Okatibbee Water Park (1 review)
    - Run-Down, Filthy, ANTS
    Water Parks
    Okatibbee Water Park image
Ants are everywhere. You cannot step on the ground or touch anything outside without getting covered with ants. The cabins are filthy, rotted wood, broken lights, no smoke detectors, filthy cabinets, counters, floors & windows. Porches, windows and chairs are covered with spider webs and dirt. Tall grass around cabins. Broken equipment all around the grounds. Rude employee in the office at check-in. Hard beds. Fishing in the lake is good. But beware of game wardens patrolling. Got a ticket for no throwable life preserver. Didn’t know there was such a law. You need a life ring or floatable seat cushion in addition to a wearable life jacket for each person. And the fine for the ticket is $178. We had boat numbers, registration card, life jackets, fishing license.... everything I thought was needed but they managed to find some reason for a citation. We paid $240 for 2 nights but they also charged $6 to launch the boat and it’s hard to even find a place to launch. There are not many signs directing you where to go. We will never go back there again. I wondered why there were not many people there and now I know. See more..
