“Real” blues with “Big T” and his 3 piece band and patrons dancing on the rug! Our hotel hosts suggested Reds over Groud Zero for authenticity. Place is combo of locals and tourist blues lovers. Don’t let outside or inside appearances scare you. Cash only and beer only, unless you want to bring your own. Great time , stayed for two sets, just go! See more..

Stopped in for lunch. Great friendly service by Sawanna. The blues burger was a perfect flavor medley. Seasoned fries, and fried okra all on point. Fried tomato sammich needed something more…. Definitely recommend. See more..

    - Club Ebony: This is the real thing!

Club Ebony is a blues club, a lineal descendant of a classic Mississippi "juke joint." We had read about it and planned a stay in Indianola as the last stop in our own Delta blues tour, following several days in Clarksdale. We were not disappointed. B.B. King was not in town, but the house band headed by the late David Lee Durham was featured that evening, and they were very good. They usually opened for B.B. when he was there, Although we were the only white people present (until a few obviously drunk and rather offensive young men, whom we described as "plantation owners," wandered in after a while), we were made to feel quite at home. The music was great! We were very glad we made this one of our stops; it was probably the best live music locale on our trip. Unfortunately, David Lee Durham, who had led a remarkable life, died last year - a real loss! See more..

Was in town briefly and gonna check out the Spectator in walnut st but it's closed for renovation. Heard the party across the street and was so happy to join THE Walnut Street Blues Club! Five bluesmen were announced with their special custom made Blues walk of Fame handcrafted stones by Alan Orlicek. It was an exciting night to be at this initial event and see an OLD friend at the same time. To hear great music *donation based* friendly party loving folks don't miss The Walnut Street Blues Bar in Greenville MS down by the levee! See more..
