  1. 4.5 Biloxi Visitors Center (1.367 reviews)
    - Wonderful Visitor’s Center

    Biloxi Visitors Center image
My family and I visited the lovely Biloxi Visitor’s Center everyday that we were in town. I absolutely loved their small gift shop. I bought many items while there. The gift shop features the creations of many local artists. They have jewelry, wind chimes, oyster trees, ornaments, postcards, food, etc. Their prices are extremely reasonable in the gift shop. The Visitor’s Center offers a small, free museum that featured the history of Biloxi. They also show a 45-50 minute film about Hurricane Katrina. The restrooms are very clean, as well. Of course, they have brochures to chose from and the employees are very happy to offer their assistance and give recommendations for things to do while in town. The Visitor’s Center is located behind the lighthouse and across the street from Biloxi Beach. I highly recommend making this your first stop while in Biloxi. See more..
  2. 4.5 Natchez Visitor Center (842 reviews)
    - Wonderful Natchez, Mississippi

    Natchez Visitor Center image
We knew nothing of this region and had many questions. Sean (National Park Service) answered all our questions and explained the area much more. Julia worked in the visitor center focusing on Mississippi in general. She gave us two outstanding recommendations. One was to tour the Myrtle Terrace home in Natchez. We found that to be one of the most beautiful homes ever! She also recommended the Walnut Hill restaurant in Vicksburg (Vicksburg was our next stop). It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious southern cooking. The people at the visitor center saved us time and money and helped us see a wonderful part of the country. See more..

    - Excellent museum and friendly staff

Gateway To The Blues Visitor Center & Museum image
The visitor center and gift shop is your first point of contact. There are unique items for sale. If you are interested in the museum, it is $10 per person. We spent about 1 1/2 hours in the museum. It gives the history of the Mississippi Delta area and Blues. There are placards, TVs with recorded videos, a few hands on instruments, and a recording studio if you want to give a song a try. There are guitars, some autographed, displayed. There were more names we recognized than we thought we would. We enjoyed it and recommend visiting. See more..
  4. 4.5 Tennessee Williams Welcome Center (97 reviews)
    - Crown Jewel of Downtown Columbus
Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Visitor Centers
    Tennessee Williams Welcome Center image
There is no better way to spend an hour or so of your visit to Columbus at this location. The Tennessee Williams House is also the Columbus City Visitor's Center. Stop by and see the house guide. Oh what a rare treat! On this visit, the Center's director played the old 1840's foot pump pipe organ for us. She will knock you out. No person knows more about the city of Columbus and especially the Williams house, than her. Most the furniture are period pieces, however many of the room light fixtures are original to the house and were converted from oil lamps. The various lamp shades are of particular interest. This stop is absolutely worth every moment of your time. See more..

    Warren County Welcome Center image
The State of Mississippi Visitors Center in Vicksburg is a safe and great place to visit. Traveling from Texas I got to the center right after they closed for the evening. The onsite security staff was very friendly and got me a state guide and map. He told me for great pictures to go to the back of the building to take pictures of the river. Even though it was after hours the ground were well lit, lots of tourists taking great photos and it was very safe. The bathrooms were very clean. If you want a safe place to take great photos of the bridges and river this is a must stop. See more..
  6. 4.5 L & N Historic Train Depot (70 reviews)
    - A Must-Visit in the Area!
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Visitor Centers • Speciality Museums
    L & N Historic Train Depot image
The beautiful Bay St. Louis train depot, built in 1928, houses the visitors center, where visitors can get information about businesses and attractions in the Bay St. Louis area, the Mardi Gras Museum, featuring beautiful Mardi Gras costumes and the Alice Moseley Folk Art and Antique Museum. The depot itself is set in a park like setting featuring many Live Oak trees, picnic tables, benches, and a walking path. Duck food can be purchased in the visitor center and many ducks and geese are waiting to be fed at the duck pond on the depot grounds. There is a lot to do and enjoy at the depot and to learn the history of this building and of the difficulties experienced in earlier times maintaining a railroad across the nearby Honey Island Swamp. The Alice Moseley Museum is an entertainment venue as much as it is a Museum and visitors to see Miss Alice usually leave the Museum with a smile on their face and a love of Alice Moseley in their hearts. Brice's Crossroad's Visitors and Interpretive Center image
You must stop here before going to the Brice Crossroads battlefield area. There is a video that will help you understand the battle. The staff is very helpful and if you had an ancestor that fought during this battle, they can look them up on their database and give you all kinds of information about your ancestor. I was thrilled to find information I had previously been unable to find about my great-grandfather. You will get a printout to take with you. If you prefer to research on your own, there is a database kiosk in the lobby that you can use to find your ancestor. Besides the video, there are exhibits and artifacts. But talk to the staff, they can tell you lots of interesting stories. See more..
