Wonderful Natchez, Mississippi
We knew nothing of this region and had many questions. Sean (National Park Service) answered all our questions and explained the area much more. Julia worked in the visitor center focusing on Mississippi in general. She gave us two outstanding recommendations. One was to tour the Myrtle Terrace home in Natchez. We found that to be one of the most beautiful homes ever! She also recommended the Walnut Hill restaurant in Vicksburg (Vicksburg was our next stop). It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious southern cooking. The people at the visitor center saved us time and money and helped us see a wonderful part of the country.

A good stop when visiting Natchez
The visitor’s center is especially nice. They have a small museum showing a visual history of the roll of Natchez as a trade and slave center. The gift shop is small but very nice. The people there are very informative and helpful. I think this is worth a stop.

Good first stop in Natchez
Good place to stop if planning on spending any tourism time in the city. Lots of NPS brochures to help guide those type activities, as well as some historical displays. Also some more city-specific info. Both the lady from the city as well as the NPS ranger were very friendly and willing to answer questions.
