    The Natchez Trace Parkway image
We drove the parkway from Natchez to Tupelo. We wanted to experience the history. What is unique here is that for the entire length of the Trace you have just forest on each side of the road along with mile markers indicating something of historical significance. Driving now before spring has come meant that sometimes the foliage was not very pretty. The ability to gain access to the Trace is not easy, about every ten miles you can gain access and once you are on the trace, you feel very much alone since the parkway controls about 400 feet on each side of the parkway that just have native plants. So you don’t see residential houses or small towns while you drive it nor did we see much traffic. This is a very unique parkway. See more..
