  2. 1.0 Seminary Canoe Rental (1 review)
    - Buyer Beware.
    Kayaking & Canoeing

Buyer beware!! Pricing is anything but transparent. The web says $30 for a kayak, but it's really $32.10 + 7% tax + square fee (unless you bring cash, which I could have done) for a total of $34.35. Worse yet, the cabin was listed for $95 and the statement "to avoid a $25 cleaning fee after departure" - forget it, everyone pays the cleaning fee. So for one night it's $95+$25+tax plus square fee = $134.82!! And you bring your own sheets and towels, soap, no TV, one window unit by front door so cool air doesn't reach the bedroom! No fan there either. The river was great, the showers were not much better than a hose. The office was closed when we got there at 4 pm, closed until 9 am the next day, and closed at 1 pm when we returned, had to track down staff to get our car key. The river is great. If you want lodging, try Hattiesburg 30 minutes away. Ask competitors what their bottom line price is! See more..
  3. 1.0 Okatibbee Water Park (1 review)
    - Run-Down, Filthy, ANTS
    Water Parks

Ants are everywhere. You cannot step on the ground or touch anything outside without getting covered with ants. The cabins are filthy, rotted wood, broken lights, no smoke detectors, filthy cabinets, counters, floors & windows. Porches, windows and chairs are covered with spider webs and dirt. Tall grass around cabins. Broken equipment all around the grounds. Rude employee in the office at check-in. Hard beds. Fishing in the lake is good. But beware of game wardens patrolling. Got a ticket for no throwable life preserver. Didn’t know there was such a law. You need a life ring or floatable seat cushion in addition to a wearable life jacket for each person. And the fine for the ticket is $178. We had boat numbers, registration card, life jackets, fishing license.... everything I thought was needed but they managed to find some reason for a citation. We paid $240 for 2 nights but they also charged $6 to launch the boat and it’s hard to even find a place to launch. There are not many signs directing you where to go. We will never go back there again. I wondered why there were not many people there and now I know. See more..
