   Oprah’s huge star status warrants more investment into a replica of her home, better signage and road improvements. Maybe nobody has much interest in it. It was interesting to see where she came from. Like Elvis, she was dirt poor and made her way in this world. As you drive down the road she lived as a young girl, you simply come to a sign which is difficult to read. The road is as rough as the neighborhood. It’s safe, but poor as heck. The church and cemetery are interesting, we speculate that the fenced area in the cemetery is where Oprah’s relatives are buried (not really sure who would be interested in this). Kinda fun, a photo opportunity, but don’t go far out of your way. See more..

   Took my son there recently. The owners are THE RUDEST PEOPLE!!! I am the customer, not entitled or expecting anything: just let me pay your fee and play. They are having difficulties with their waiver signup due to the network, blamed it on me by saying in front of me to her son, " oh it must be something he's doing it's not our problem, Ma'am I'm right here and my internet is working fine, your server is down for the waiver" Sure enough they determine it's down. They offer other paper waiv.he laser tag also is rude and fusses at kids nonstop. This place is poorly run and when a well-run facility comes in town they will close.    Rundown, filthy, in need of repairs, extremely overpriced for a birthday party. There were several parties there that day so maybe the owners can afford to fix the place up a bit now. At the very least maybe they can hire a cleaning crew. The rental skates should have been replaced years ago, the skating rink floor needs major repairs. The whole place needs a lot of attention. They only take cash, a huge inconvenience these days. The room where we had the birthday cake was sticky and gross. It appears like the floors do not get cleaned, ever. I didn’t want to go into the bathroom. There’s a sink to wash hands at, outside the bathroom but no soap or paper towels. See more..

   Felt more like a city park than anything. The camping area was not secured from the public area except by a low gate. People were parking in the public parking and then simply climbing over the low barriers to come and fish right at people’s camping spot. We ended up using their website to see unreserved sites and moving because some random locals decided that the portion of the lake at the edge of our camping spot was the perfect fishing spot – loud conversations, music and all. It was strange and uncomfortable in our reserved spot; however, once we moved it was much better. There are lots of bright lights and it did not really feel like real camping at all. It felt more like camping in the back yard. I would recommend sites 41 or lower to get away from the people fishing all night. Only 1 bathroom open. See more..

   This is currently the only Mini-Golf in the Jackson area. Note the November 2021 hours: Closed Mon-Wed. Thurs. 5-10pm, Fri. 5-12, Sat 10am-12, Sun 1-10pm. Phone is 769-932-4653.     I have been bringing my grandchildren to Kid's Towne Park in Clinton for years. Park maintenance is ok, but not as good as it could be if more city or private funding would be forthcoming.
