3.5Kuta Beach - Bali(10.5k reviews) - Sunset is still a great way to end the day Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
To be able to just relax with family and friends as the day ends is one of the reasons we love coming to the beach. We parked ourselves (6 of us) at Bar 7, Randit Bar. Much has changed since COVID. Many have lost their space and they are trying to re-build. Everyone seemed so grateful to have us back visiting. Randit provided great service and while we would have not previously paid for a massage on the beach, we just did. It was more expensive that going into a massage place but they have had it tough and we only just arrived. It was a lovely sunset and we had fun to end our 1st night back in Bali. There are comments regarding the rubbish.....we would like to say that compared to our last visit 3 years ago, we have noticed less rubbish and more bins available. We shall be back :)See more..

3.5Besakih Temple(2.673 reviews) - Watchout with the seller Friday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
Over a thousand years old, Besakih Temple is known as the "Mother Temple of Bali". Perched on the slopes of Mount Agung, at a lofty 1000 metres (3000 feet)Pura Besakih is the paramount Hindu temple on Bali. Located high on the slopes of the volcano Mt. Agung, it has developed over more than a thousand years into a great complex of 22 separate temples, the largest and central being Pura Penataran Agung. The annual cycle of more than 70 rituals, which symbolically link the temples into a whole, culminates in the centenary ceremony called Ekadasa Rudra, last held in 1979. The temple complex, state-supported since the 15th century, has undergone a series of architectural and ritual changes.See more..
3.5Kuta Square(2.400 reviews) - The Crowds were missing Neighborhoods
Very few tourists evident and it's probably fair to say that all businesses seemed to be struggling. The absence of the cacophony of sound from traffic lent an eerie feeling at times. Restaurants, shops and stallholders were struggling. There have been a few changes in the square since our last visit, Sendok restaurant & bar has relocated here, renovations under way in a couple of former vacant premises, a sign of optimism for the future, perhaps. The temple was busiest, daily ceremonies and offering to the Gods for the protection of Bali.See more..

Perfect time. I might name like this my water johney with Saraswati. He decorate a boat for me with baloons. He is so gentle boat driver, we where always in safe but distance from other boats. 3.5Puri Saren Palace(999 reviews) - Was expecting more Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Puri Saren Agung is the place where Ubud's long tradition of home stays all began, more than 80 years ago, when Bali first started to attract bohemian artists from around the world. Renting one of five traditional stone bungalows in the sumptuous royal courtyard is still quite an experience, and every night the palace comes alive with the sound of Gamelan music as Balinese dances are performed just across the wall from Puri Saren Agung.See more..
3.5Blue Lagoon Beach(674 reviews) - Tropical fish in clear water Beaches
Went to this area by a traditional boat from Candidasa to snorkel and spotted a turtle on the way. As we did not go onto the beach can only review the lagoon. The water was clear and clean. Saw only a couple of pieces of rubbish. The amount of fish and the variety of fish were amazing. The fish come up very close to you as you enter the water. I believe some people may feed them. There is a lot of coral but only some small patches of coloured coral as so much of it has been affected. It was good to see that there is some regrowth of coral on the artificial reefs that have been placed in the water. It is a very popular area so best to go early as the water is usually calmer and less boats coming in. See more..
3.5Hardy's Sanur(544 reviews) - Good for essentials This location was reported permanently closed Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Found Hardy’s to be worth a short walk from the hotel. They had most things anyone would need. My wife picked up some ladies shorts from there. About double the price on the street but she does did not want to go through the hassle of haggling at the time and could take her time having a look. Lots and lots of ladies clothes in particular upstairs. There is a very good supermarket for any groceries or fruit and veg you might need. There is also a wine store where we were able to grab some $20 - $30 AUD red wines. Be prepared to leave back packs at the storage counter out the front and they give you a number to collect it afterwards. They let us take in our small bum bags but that was it. I would not say it’s a must visit or anything but worth it if you need essentials. Much better than the small coco marts.See more..
We visited a "Kopi Luwak farm" close to Tenganan, and at first it was very interesting. It is an originally Indonesian coffee. The palm civet cat is the name of Luwak, a shy animal, living a lonely life in the jungle area , eating coffee berries as an ingredient of his diet. Indonesian coffee pickers were not allowed to eat the Luwak berries, during colonial times, and collected the feces of the luwak. They found the coffee berries, which taste became famous. And even a luxury product that was named the most expensive coffee in the world. I do not like coffee (a tea drinker). When I found out about the terrible circumstances the Luwak civet cat lives I say NO to the Luwak attraction. No longer in their free habitat, but kept and trapped in small cages. Sorry, NOT for me! Even it is a wonderful product for coffee lovers.See more..

3.5Le Mayeur Museum(408 reviews) - Lovely old museum with great wood panels Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
This small museum at the north end of Sanur Beach evokes a time of innocence and beauty before the introduction of relatively recent laws banning "immodest dress." Even more impressive than the paintings by the Belgian artist of the young Balinese dancer he married and her friends is the small mansion in which the art and artifacts are housed: a lovely example of Balinese architecture decorated with finely carved and gilded wooden shutters. We decided to pay a little more money and go with Gili Cat fast boat after reading reviews of other fast boats. Staff on board the boat (captain and two assistants) were friendly and fresh bottled water was handed out to all passengers on board. Gili Cat arranged transfers which was included in our ticket price from our hotel in Legian and then on the way back from Gili Air to Ubud. We were picked up and dropped off on time. If you are going to Gili Air, the boat ride is approx 2 hours from Padang Bai Harbour. We made the mistake of sitting at the back of the boat with all the boat fuel fumes and felt quite dizzy by the time we arrived at Gili Air. My advice is to sit at the front or the middle to help avoid the fumes.See more..
3.5Trunyan Cemetery(148 reviews) - A unique custom of Trunyan village Friday: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM Cemeteries
Trunyan is the only place that has a unique custom of death ceremony. Visit directly to Trunyan village is rewarded so beautiful panorama of lake and Mount Batur and have a short visit to Pancering Jagat Temple right at Trunyan village center. The highlight is visiting the cemetery at the edge of Batur Lake which needs a boat crosses for 15 minutes. The boat is a traditional paddling boat which fits for maximum 8 people. We were 5 people plus 3 local paddlers went to cemetery. the lake water was so calm as we went in the morning at 09.00 Am and when we got there, we saw such a huge tree of Menyan and saw a lots of Skulls and bones around. I was fantastic experience to see a really different than the others..See more..
3.5Secret Beach(117 reviews) - Pretty, but you cant swim. Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM Beaches
While its nice to see, thats all you can do. No swimming allowed, the beach is super rocky so you cant sit at the waters edge. And you have to come down through a resort access so it's a bit of a pain to get there. If your doing a tour of the island by motor bike, it might be a nice place to stop for a drink at the beachfront bar.See more..

visited here many years ago.heard that it has a renovation.so this year, when i had my Nov-Dec trip to Bali,on the last day,i came here with my driver.after renovation, now all stalls moved to the new building.i think the old market more charming,i remember it is open air,.now there are many levels in the building, they even have a lift! too modern. there are frutis, veggies, clothes, snacks, traditional stuffs on sale here.i bought some snacks, like peanuts, pie susu, bali dessert.i bargained with the seller, and got a rather good price.if you love to see everyday life of local people, pasar badung still worth a visit.See more..
3.5Pasar Candi Kuning(79 reviews) - Good place to get some delicious local fruits Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Flea & Street Markets
We passed by on way to Ulun Danu temples and bought strawberries, soursop, passion fruits and sapodillas. They were delicious and reasonable in price after we made a little bargaining. The vendors were friendly too and let us try them before we bought! The market has gone a lot quieter these days but I think it is still a nice place to browse and learnt about local fruits and spices etc as it is not as smelly and "wet" as local market . The vendors can speak English as well which is a plus for tourists !See more..

3.0Sari Dewi(63 reviews) - Great place to buy silver jewellery! Speciality & Gift Shops
The staff were super-helpful and were able to consistently show me silver pieces in my price range and in line with my taste. I've been visiting every time I come to Bali, and it's been consistently good. I somehow managed to buy a ring that was much too large for me (fingers swollen that day?), and when I visited again, they were happy to exchange or resize it - so nice!See more..
This is literally what I tried to build as a kid. Some adult went digging and tried to recreate a Hindu myth. He dug for 15 years and lived in his underground hole for 10. My facts may be off, but go see it for yourself. It's easy to find... it's the open lot. It's worth small amount of money to go down and have a look. I'm tall so it was uncomfortable. My phone's light wasn't great and the lights at the Underground House kept going off. So take a good flashlight and enjoy this unusual experience. See more..
3.0Angel Billabong Fast Cruise(56 reviews) - Cheap boat with cleanliness in line Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Ferries
We did quite some research to finalise the boat. We booked this through bookaway.com and was one of cheapest options. It is decent and takes around 45min one side instead of 30min claimed. Also it is usually late by 15 min so end to end is 1 hr. On our return to Sanur from Nusa Penida, they just dumped our luggage on the stones. Once we were a little strict and asked them to at least take it to the top from where it can be dragged, they eventually did it. See more..

3.0Bedugul Market(25 reviews) - Worth a quick look Flea & Street Markets
Depends what you are after... There are some stalls selling fruit and veg but, for the most part, it's all about tourist tat. Wooden toys and souvenirs, cheap clothes and bags of spice. Everything has to be bargained for (because, apparently, that's what tourists want) so expect to spend 5 minutes arguing about the price of a 2 dollar toy. While we were there, the only locals we saw were the stallholders and drivers - everyone else was a tourist. On the plus side - there's an ATM, a cafe and plant shop at the back that's well worth a look (even though you can't bring anything back). If you want to see a more authentic local market head 10 minutes along the road to BaturitiSee more..
Thanks to our great tour guide Kadek Yosa of Keong Mas Bali Tours we found ourselves at My Swing. Although I didn’t take the plunge and try it, my two young adult children (23 & 26yrs) did and they loved it. I was happy to watch from the top at the entrance which still gave us a great view but nothing compared to what it was like while on the swing. Both raved about it after and if not for Kadek, I doubt we would have made the trip out especially as I hadn’t heard anything about it prior. See more..
I wouldn't recommend anyone to seek out this place however the Bird Park opposite is highly recommended! If you do the Bird Park I think it's worth walking over to this reptile park afterward. My partner and I rather enjoyed it especially having the opportunity to hold an Iguana and a Tortoise! Good variety of reptiles here though mainly snakes overall, but a good range. This park is a bit run down compared to the pristine Bird Park. It's a small park but the entry fee is super cheap. Great way to finish the day after seeing the Bird Park! See more..
