There are two markets in Bedugul. Pasar Merta Sari for tourists which is in front of Lake Bratan, and Pasar Jabe Puri Gede, Panca Sari, which is a traditional wet market place for the needs and lives of the people of Bedugul town. A tourist trap. Merta Sari market is the center of Bedugul. Strategically located between the sports attraction center of the lake, botanical garden and Ulun Danu temple, Similar market with Sukawati and Ubud market, but smaller. This touristy market sells cloths, souvenirs, herbs and spices, street food, snacks, veggies & fruits, nursery, arts and Eat, Drink, Love café. If you want to be a local, go to this place. In the afternoon, this market is clouded by mists, a really look and feel of a mountain town. Shops started to turn on the lights, and after 6pm this place turns to quietude. Get some local snacks, and steamed corned colored with turmerics. Strawberry is plenty and cheap.

Go For the Good Reasons
A small open air market on the way to Lovina, making it a great spot to stretch. Best two things there in my opinion are the unexpected but super clean and well maintained western toilets located in the top left, and Eat Drink Love (restaurant and wisdom art shop, according to their business card) which you pass to get to the toilet. I don't like the pushiness of some sellers, and some of the ridiculous opening prices for both souvenirs and fresh produce. I don't mind a bit of bartering, it's expected, but when opening price is about 5 times what can be paid elsewhere, I honestly can't be bothered, so they lose customers. So, these markets are worth a visit for the good reasons!
