Farmers Markets
Couldn't see a separate review of the night markets, but they are in the same place as the morning markets. A very lively place, not many tourists mostly locals. Good selection of items on sale mostly for non tourist sales and sizes. Lots of different stuff for sale, well worth a look. It is a dark market in spots so we were careful not to go down those aisles and also not to be led there by vendors with the "perfect buy". See more..
- 4.0 Sereh Gourmet Supermarket (39 reviews)
-One stop shop
Friday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Farmers Markets
This supermarket is a gem of shop. Everything you need is here. We purchased all our beers, soft drinks, water, juices here at very reasonable prices. Fresh fruit, meat also available. Ideal for guests staying at the movenpick resort. The staff in the supermarket are very friendly. Always offering a smile. Last minute gifts, laundry and bathroom products are also available. Don't forget to take your re usable plastic bags or canvas bags when you shop there. See more..
- 4.5 Baturiti Market (6 reviews)
-Authentic local market
Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets • Farmers Markets
A great antidote to the tourist markets that tend to be included on tours. When we stopped to visit we were the only foreigners in the market. It's not particularly pretty, in fact it's downright grubby in places but it is the real thing - food produced by locals for locals. It's worth going with a guide as very few of the stallholders speak English although all were very happy to talk about their produce without any pressure or expectation of a sale. One word of warning - be careful of the dogs. Our guide was bitten and had to drop by a local clinic for shots. See more..
