We easily spent four hours here despite the maximum of 2 and a half. The courses were exciting, and they really made your blood rush. I doubt anything like this can be found in America because of the safety restrictions. That being said, be wary to watch young kids while they are doing the courses as they could easily hurt themselves.See more..

The Bajra Sandhi Monument is located in the heart of Denpasar on your way to Sanur Beach. I visited this monument on a very hot day, so it was nice that the inside of the monument was nice and cool. As a solo traveler, you learn a-lot about the history of Bali and how it was colonized by the Dutch, all the way to their independence. The views from the top are amazing as they give you a 360 view of Denpasar. There is no elevator to the top of the monument but it is good walk. I hired a driver for the week (feel free to message me for contact info) and I welcomed him to go and tour the monument with me after he insisted he did not want to disturb me. You can walk the grounds but really the views are what you really come to see. There is an entry fee (cash only) so make sure to buy your ticket from the ticket office and not the guys standing outside the gates to the monument pretending to sell tickets.See more..

We went to Waterbom particularly for the Flowrider which my son had done in Cairns at the local swimming pool on a previous trip. You can only book this experience once inside the park. Go straight there, as they get nooked out. Every session is 30 min for 125k or 200k for 1 hour. Maximum of 10 people on each side of the flow rider which us split down the middle by a blow up partition. People queue up and take turns. Once you fall, you are off and join the back if the queue. It is very popular. The instructors are great. They have boogieboards and wake board type boards. It is the opposite of surfing, so non surfers will do better here, as you put your entire weight in your back foot like snowboarding which is counter intuitive for surfers. 30 min are not long enough to get he hang of it but long enough to have some fun. Careful on how you fall (and you will fall a lot), my son ended up with a very sore neck and back afterwards.See more..

For only $8, you can go on this fun zipline. It was a fun ride trying to find the place (which we kind of came across by accident because the sign sent us totally the wrong way!!). My hubby and 14 year old son went on it twice each and really enjoyed it. it's not long and is over quickly, but for the money, you can't really go wrong. The same thing in Australia would cost you what it cost 2 of them to go twice! We found it advertised on the island map, but other than that details were hard to come by. Hideaway Bali is an excellent location to do the Bali swing ... perfect location with the river flowing beneath and green cover topped with blue skies. V important to mention - the staff at reception is v friendly and helpful. The staff at the swings is so polite and friendly and hardworking. Absolute 5 star service. We did the swing twice - u can do as many swings as you wish with the admission fee. What sets this place apart from the others is the scenic location no wait time and the staff. We got ample time to click pictures in all the diff swings and nests. The staff is well trained to click really good pictures and they know exactly how you should pose or sit and different angles. You can even rent a flowy dress with additional cost and that makes it even more dramatic. See more..

I wouldn't recommend anyone to seek out this place however the Bird Park opposite is highly recommended! If you do the Bird Park I think it's worth walking over to this reptile park afterward. My partner and I rather enjoyed it especially having the opportunity to hold an Iguana and a Tortoise! Good variety of reptiles here though mainly snakes overall, but a good range. This park is a bit run down compared to the pristine Bird Park.It's a small park but the entry fee is super cheap. Great way to finish the day after seeing the Bird Park! See more..

I took a long peaceful walk around Peninsula Island after visiting Water Blow near by during my solo traveler visit to Nusa Dua. This garden is very lovely with walking trails, bicycle trails and even a helipad! You can watch the young surfers catch some waves or watch the beautiful flowers surrounding the peninsula blossom. There is one huge statue in the center of the garden and several little ones at the entrances to the garden. It is a nice place to watch the sunset as well. I highly recommend you visit this wonderful sight of Bali.See more..

Influenced by Instagram (aren’t they all) my wife dragged us off to one of the Bali swings We went specifically to “Bali Swing” one of the first and most widely promoted.......but arrived and left within minutes......2 hour wait for a swing - madness and not for me. Do not go to Bali swing - unless you Want to wait and pay more than all the others Especially when 3 minutes away is “My Swing” And wow, we’re we lucky - go in the mid am - before it’s packed with tourists from the east. Not cheap - for a swing - but well worth it The views / the exhilaration / the fun.......in part due to location / not waiting and more importantly the guys swinging you - they’re amazing!!!!!!
