Bajra Sandhi Monument-Denpasar Bali-Solo Traveler

The Bajra Sandhi Monument is located in the heart of Denpasar on your way to Sanur Beach. I visited this monument on a very hot day, so it was nice that the inside of the monument was nice and cool. As a solo traveler, you learn a-lot about the history of Bali and how it was colonized by the Dutch, all the way to their independence. The views from the top are amazing as they give you a 360 view of Denpasar. There is no elevator to the top of the monument but it is good walk. I hired a driver for the week (feel free to message me for contact info) and I welcomed him to go and tour the monument with me after he insisted he did not want to disturb me. You can walk the grounds but really the views are what you really come to see. There is an entry fee (cash only) so make sure to buy your ticket from the ticket office and not the guys standing outside the gates to the monument pretending to sell tickets.

Bajra Sandhi is a monument to the struggle of the Balinese people, this monument is located in the heart of Denpasar, precisely in the Renon area, the interesting fact is that this place is more known by foreign tourists than local tourists. The address of Bajra Sandhi Monument is on Jalan Raya Puputan No. 142, South Denpasar District, Denpasar. For facilities at Bajra Sandhi, besides the Museum, there is also a library, fish pond, handicrafts and of course toilets for visitors. Then, in the middle of the building on the inside, there are 4 steps. Which stairs can you use to get to the 2nd floor. The price for admission to this tour varies. For adults 25k per person, Children 10k per person. For parking fees at this monument. Car parking is Rp. 5,000/car. Motorcycle parking IDR 2,000/motorcycle. There are many transportation options for a vacation to the Bajra Sandhi Monument in Denpasar. There are public transport options and there are private transport options.

    bali arts festival opening parade
been here several times, but went inside the building only once many years ago, that time maybe this place not on TP list,so didnt write any comments. the main building consits of three floors. The ground floor is some exhibition halls and a library, nothing special. The first floor, contains 33 dioramas, cover various incidents in the history of the Balinese, very interesting.the second floor is a meditative space ,yan can have a panoramic view of Denpasar here.outside of the building, there is a big field, many locals love to playing kites here, picnicking here.every year, there is a big festival opening parade held beside the field.that is Bali Arts Festival.after two years cancellation due to pandemic, this fetival opened again this year in June. i came here to watch the parade.it is not the first time, but this time is meaningful, cuz it is opened again after two years.the parade started at 2 pm,normally it falls on saturday, but this year on sunday.it took around two hours.after that,i took some pics of the monument also the surroundings as memento.
