    Museum MORE image
Museum MORE is a Dutch museum in Gorssel, Netherlands. The display of the paintings and exhibits it is totally worth it, even though the location of the museum is not very convenient and takes some time to travel. The paintings guide you through a diversity of emotions and the realism of the exhibits is unbelievable. Museumkaart is valid for a discount on the entrance ticket. I enjoyed my visit here and do recommend to add the museum on to visit list in Netherlands. See more..

    't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn image
This edition of the Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn "75 Years of Liberty" in Garderen, takes you back to the time of WWII. From the music to all the decorations, you really imagine yourself in the war years. In addition to important battles from WWII, such as the 'Battle of Arnhem' and 'D-Day', the liberation, the life of Anne Frank, our resistance heroes, the cartoons, Radio Oranje and the Royal House are also fully discussed. The sand sculptures of the 'Battle of Arnhem' and 'Pearl Harbor' (11 meters long and almost 5 meters high!) are truly impressive. Dioramas introduce you to a beautifully crafted, detailed wartime sand world in miniature, on a 1:5 scale. We visited yesterday, at the 10th of June 2021, you have to buy tickets online with a timelock upfront. Entrance fee € 10,00 p.p. It was closed during lockdown and reopened at the 5th of June 2021. And stunning Mathilde Willink dresses exhibited in a pristinely restored castle. The dichotomy between the subject and the background of the artist’s work is provocative. The castle’s new woodwork is a joy to the eye. Very much worth the visit. See more..

  7. 4.0 Anton Pieck Museum (93 reviews)
    - Pay one gets two
Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Art Museums • History Museums
    Anton Pieck Museum image
See more..

    Marius van Dokkum image
Had found details about this gallery on the web prior to our visit to Harderwijk, and boy am I so glad that we visited. The range of artwork on display was wide and covered a range of subjects, but all were painted with skill and hilarity. One of the paintings was a representaion of a family of birds but the "actors" were pears. All the paintings had a funny theme and made you spend time appreciating not only the talent of Marious van Dokkum but also his fantastic sense of humour. This is a "not to miss" gallery. See more..

    Stadsmuseum Harderwijk image
Came across this wonderful place on a wet Sunday with friends and discovered one of the most wonderful museums we have ever visited. Located in a historic house in the centre of this beautiful town we were greeted with a genuine friendly welcome and given a guide to what we can discover within this unique building. Not only does this museum have a wonderful to story to tell about the town, it's people and its connection with the Hansa network as well as the fishing industry but it also has an amazing calendar of arts and cultural events. Although at the time when we visited they were between exhibitions, it clearly attracts the very best and has given us reason to come back again soon. Although many towns in Holland close up on a Sunday, if you are looking for a wonderful cultural, enlightening and enjoyable place to go then this is it. We couldn't believe that entry was only one Euro per person. This has to be best value that one Euro could ever buy! Thank you Stadsmuseum! See more..

The Voerman Stadsmuseum Hattem is a museum for art, history and archeology. The paintings of Jan Voerman senior and his son Jan Voerman junior are the core of the museum. But there is more: the 4000 year old bellbeaker, the remains of the castle Dikke Tinne and more paintings from famous painters who painted Hattem. Twice a year you can visit a new exhibition. 17. 4.0 Het MAG Museum (1 review)
    - A very small museum with a nice collection of Pottery, Crystal glasses from Maastricht and Local art.
Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Speciality Museums • Art Museums
    Het MAG Museum image
I had to go twice to the museum to visit it, on my first attempt, on the 1st of July it was closed due to the fact that they were changing the art for a new exhibition... The second time I was more Lucky. The museum is very small and can be overlooked if your not aware that it should be there!. The entry fee is EUR 5,- but they really have a nice collection of pottery and crystal works from Maastricht and art from local artists..... Again it is small, it won't take you hours to see it all, but combined with a visit to museum MORE this is really a nice extra and worth the EUR 5,-. When I was there it was very quiet in the street and you could easily park there, on other days you could park at one of the parkings, there are some not too far from the museum...at less then 5 minutes walk (the town of Ruurlo isn't that big in all cases). Not a must see, but if you go to Ruurlo, why not add this to your tour as a little extra, the cherry on the cake! (well you do have to like, pottery and crystal works). See more..
