Our kids had a great time. We spent almost the whole day, and they would have stayed longer... Great "rides" and things to play on and with. The inventors shed also offered greate hands-on time for letting their creativity loose. The place is a beautiful mixture of art, sience and common sense. A great place to go to with young children. In the playground is a basic restaurant. Prices are fair and portions generous. There is a small forest which is next to the playgroud. Nice place with lots of options to let kids of various ages play. However there is no adequate supervision for kids climbing where it's not supposed to. Great playground in the Brakkestein neighbourhood. Excellent parking facilities for cars and bikes. Entrance fee is very reasonable and a year-pass is also available. Lovely big playground with large and smaller climbing structures, swings, trampolines, go karts, sandboxes and a small pool. Lots of shade and spaces to sit, excellent toilet facilities. You can get a large selection of hot and cold food and drinks/icecream on site, but it is also allowed to bring your own. See more..

Cute little playground and petting farm. Kids loved the play area, which even has a football pitch and the carousel it's named after, and of course the petting zoo where they could pet little goats. Animals all looked happy enough. They all have signs to explain what species they are, and information about the individual animals. Matenpark is seemingly an undiscovered jewel; I was surprised to not see it on here. I say that because it's surprisingly well-equipped for being a residential park; nestled on all sides by housing, it has a skatepark and a number of fun little things to do, like crossing the water via balancing, pulling yourself across, or stepping on chains. It also has a number of trails and paths to walk down or cycle on. I enjoyed the time I spent here, and the weather was lovely as well. :)See more..
