  2. 4.5 Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum (74 reviews)
    - Pleasant Day In The Past
    Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Speciality Museums • Children's Museums • History Museums
Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum image
We have just arrived home having spent a very enjoyable day at the museum. We strolled casually through the museum and it took about 5 hours with a 30 minute lunch break. The artefacts are very interesting and provoked many memories. The only negative for me was the vast amount of things on display gave me major sensory overload. Although we were all adults, 41 plus years old, we thoroughly enjoyed the toy section with all of the interactive displays and the games were a lot of fun. Thoroughly worth a visit particularly if you want a walk down memory lane See more..

    - Interesting

This museum was very interesting. It tells the story of the river Waal and the animals of the region. There was also a temporary exhibition about the fables of the animals. There are many stairs, but you are allowed to use the elevator if you have difficulty walking stairs. At various locations you will find a screen where you can read more information. On one of these screens you can try to load an old cannon in less than a minute. See more..
  4. 4.5 Kristalmuseum (30 reviews)
    - Lovely museum in centre of Borculo
    Spent 1-2 hours Children's Museums
    Kristalmuseum image
I am not particularly interested in the topic of this museum, but had a pleasant surprise when we visited the Kristalmuseum. The collection was presented very well and there was plenty to learn for people of all ages. The information included the basics as well as the more scientific aspects. Interactivity was catered for with a very good treasure hunt as well as an activity room to learn panning for gold. My (teenage) daughters were fascinated by the fossils and we all enjoyed the 'sparkly things'. See more..
  5. 4.5 Elisabeth Weeshuis Museum (26 reviews)
    - Not to be missed when in Culemborg
Spent 1-2 hours Children's Museums • History Museums
    Elisabeth Weeshuis Museum image
This is an extremely well done museum in the center of the village. There’s a lot to learn about this Dutch village, but earlier times are documented by recreating life in the orphanage that was once here. The town library and a nice small cafe with charming garden are also here. See more..
  6. 4.5 Brandweermuseum Borculo (21 reviews)
    - Interesting collection
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums • Children's Museums • History Museums
    Brandweermuseum Borculo image
Brandweermuseum Borculo shows an impressive collection of fire service related items. It is maintained well, but it does show some signs that the collection is starting to get outdated. Some of the displays are showing their age and more modern museums offer more interactivity. Four stars, because the collection is extensive, shows good breadth and is informative. If you are interested in fire service, this is a must see, if you are in the area and have a few hours to spare, you could do worse that giving this a visit. See more..

  8. 3.0 Poppenspelmuseum (1 review)
    - Ein einzigartiges, viel zu kleines Museum
    Tuesday: Spent < 1 hour Children's Museums
See more..
