Interesting

This museum was very interesting. It tells the story of the river Waal and the animals of the region. There was also a temporary exhibition about the fables of the animals. There are many stairs, but you are allowed to use the elevator if you have difficulty walking stairs. At various locations you will find a screen where you can read more information. On one of these screens you can try to load an old cannon in less than a minute.

    Enter the fort!
A great museum in a former fortification. With exhibits detailing the history of the structure, as well as the incredible diverse nature of the area. All very well presented. And very nice and cool on a sweltering hot day!

    Delve into
NIJMEGEN, oldest city in The Netherlands, home to De Bastei. Takes you back in time, as you walk the talk... The walls, the ground beneath your feet and the roof above your head have a myriad tales to tell. As old as time, yet fresh, a modern vibe, informative, interesting, interactive, ingenious installations, there is something splendid for one all in whatever age group. A cafeteria, a good view, friendly volunteers at the entrance foyer of De Bastei and the deft dive into this Natural History treasure, with the Dutch, seals a good deal.
