Pleasant Day In The Past
We have just arrived home having spent a very enjoyable day at the museum. We strolled casually through the museum and it took about 5 hours with a 30 minute lunch break. The artefacts are very interesting and provoked many memories. The only negative for me was the vast amount of things on display gave me major sensory overload. Although we were all adults, 41 plus years old, we thoroughly enjoyed the toy section with all of the interactive displays and the games were a lot of fun. Thoroughly worth a visit particularly if you want a walk down memory lane

You past in a nutshell
“The older you are the more you know” seemed to be their moto, and I suppose they are right. Every possible piece of equipment you can think of from our past, from as small as a pill box to a complete telephone exchange. Household, industrial, agricultural, commercial, they’ve got it all. An incredible array of toys. There was a room filled with dolls houses, but specially made, each with a special interior. You are encouraged to touch things and really look at them. You could spend many hours looking around. Good parking area, nice café, easy access for the most part. They claim to be wheelchair friendly, and I suspect they are. Easy to find, just off the main roads.

Memories.....
Last Saturday we ventured to the museum in Terschuur. We had a bit of a family reunion there and started with morning coffee and cake. The museum was quite interesting and for me many memories of my youth resurfaced. Because I live in Australia I do not see these old Dutch goods very often! All of us had a good time and we finished with a small lunch after the tour.
