- 5.0 Dead Indian Summit Overlook (99 reviews)
-Beautiful
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas • Lookouts
Chief Joseph led his Nez Perce tribe away from the calvary from S Dakota to Canada. They passed through this valley and over the ridges. Amazing feat anytime but more so when you are in pursuit. At this location he had to leave behind one of his injured tribesmen at this summit. Calvary came upon him and killed him. Here you will see the amazing valley and summits around. There are metal-worked sculptures depicting the Nez Perce of which if you take the right angle looks like the warrior are riding on the summit. Beautiful See more..

Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Our family of 5 had a fantastic time on our 1/2 day fly fishing trip with Gill and Bill from Wind River Flyfitter in Dubois WY. They set us up with all the gear needed and took great care of us providing water and assistance as needed to be safe on the river. We all had different skill levels and they took ample time with each of us to get us comfortable on the river. We all caught trout and white fish and would recommend this trip for anyone visiting this beautiful part of WY. See more..

Bodies of Water
Amazing and beautiful. This was a wonderful walk from Old Faithful. I strongly recommend downloading the Yellowstone app and listening to some of the audio products about the different pools. You can learn about how people used to throw items into these pools for "luck", but caused significant and lasting damage. It would be easy to spend a week (or more) in and around Yellowstone National Park. See more..

-Another museum gem
Friday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Art Museums • History Museums
The Brinton Museum is located on the historic 620-acre Quarter Circle A Ranch in Big Horn, Wyoming and features 19th, 20th and 21st century Western and American Indian Art in a setting that is art unto itself. The Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building includes three floors featuring five galleries, a Museum Store, and the Brinton Bistro, offering indoor and outdoor dining with picturesque, 180-degree views of the Bighorn Mountains. Nestled into the hillside, the Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building is anchored by a two-foot thick, 51-foot high, 209-foot long arced rammed earth wall, the tallest in North America. The design symbolically defines the space, bringing together the geological and spiritual nature of its Western and American Indian Art collections. - 5.0 Jackson Hole’s Continental Divide Dogsled Adventures (81 reviews)
-Amazing Dog Sledding Adventure!
Nature & Wildlife Tours
What an absolutely amazing experience. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt because the dogs do seem skinny and are living outside in the snow (they have warm dog houses), but once I met my guide and learned the ins and out of the operation I was amazed at how well taken care of and loved the dogs are. They were all so vocal and excited when they saw the sleds being hooked up. They LOVE their job and love to run. They were so happy and loved the attention we gave them! It was hard to leave and I wanted to take them all home. One word of caution: I was surprised how bumpy the ride was. Like VERY rough at the beginning. It smoothed our after the first few minutes, but if you have any orthopedic issues I do not advise this adventure. Otherwise would recommend this company to anyone thinking of dog sledding! - 5.0 Laramie County Library (76 reviews)
-Love to Read
Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Libraries
Established in 1886, when Wyoming was still a territory, the Laramie County Library System (LCLS) located in Cheyenne is the oldest continually operating county library system in the United States. Territorial citizens of Cheyenne rallied for five years to fund the first library building, opened in 1886. It was located on the third floor of a business building on Carey Avenue and after that in the basement of what was then known as the Central School. When Wyoming became a state in 1890, state statute dictated library service should be provided for residents by the county government. With funding being withdrawn from city resources, American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie offered $50,000 toward a new building in 1899. Three years later, the Laramie County Library opened on May 19, 1902, on the southeast corner of 22nd Street and Capitol Avenue, offering 10,000 square feet of space. Almost sixty years later, the need arose for a larger building, and on October 19, 1969, a new building See more..

- 5.0 World's Largest Intermittent Spring (74 reviews)
-Worth it!
Points of Interest & Landmarks
3/4 mile walk along the stream on a mostly gravel path, until the very end. It’s a level and easy walk until the end. Climbing up to the top of the spring is steep and rocky. We did it with a 3 & 4 year old, who needed some help. Grandma sat on the picnic table at the bottoms of the spring/cascade. Got lucky to see the spring shut off and then came back on. Worth the hike, for sure! See more..

Heard about Backwards on NPR and decided we needed to find it when we headed to Casper on our trip out west. Decided we could use a drink after a hard afternoon fishing the North Platte and we’re disappointed when we drove up to the distillery to find no lights on. Luckily, I jumped out of the Jeep to read the sign on the door announcing a new tasting room. We rushed over with only 45 minutes to spare - and wow, I’m glad we made it. We sampled a couple of their products: a vodka and a cinnamon moonshine. I new right then it would be a great night. We tried the Greatest Showman and Miss E. Calhoun - bought a bottle of the Cinnamon Moonshine and decided we would need to leave the river early tomorrow to get back with time to sample a few more of Backwards’ creative cocktails. See more..
