    Jenny Lake Overlook image
Best iconic view of the Tetons. The boat shuttle at the southern end of the lake is crazy crowded. Instead go to the NE corner of the one way Jenny Lake road. Less crowded and definitely worth waiting a few minutes for a parking spot. See more..

Great pull out, with a large parking lot... We arrived to see a large group of folks on a tour looking at a herd of Bison through a scope. Great viewing opportunity. Beautiful Scenery. Ansel Adams took photographs here of the Snake River. See more..

    Dead Indian Summit Overlook image
Chief Joseph led his Nez Perce tribe away from the calvary from S Dakota to Canada. They passed through this valley and over the ridges. Amazing feat anytime but more so when you are in pursuit. At this location he had to leave behind one of his injured tribesmen at this summit. Calvary came upon him and killed him. Here you will see the amazing valley and summits around. There are metal-worked sculptures depicting the Nez Perce of which if you take the right angle looks like the warrior are riding on the summit. Beautiful See more..

This geologic formation is so easy to visit. It's right on US Route 26 a few miles west of Casper WY. There is a parking area and the canyon is fenced off with a tall chain link fence. However there are places where you can slip through the fence to get a closer look. There was once motel and restaurant there years ago, but they are long gone now. There are no attendants around. It only take a little while to see so if you're on that road stop by! See more..

    Warren Peak Lookout Tower image
Even though the top of the tower was closed to visitors (fires in area? COVID?) the views from the ground & the intermediate platforms on the stairs were incredible. Supposedly one can see Devil's Tower from here, but we couldn't find it, probably because of the hazy/smoky conditions. There are 2 picnic tables & a vault toilet for visitors who want to spend a bit more time here. Easy access via paved roads. Highly recommend. See more..

    Cement Ridge Lookout image
Cement Ridge Lookout is an adventure! Trekking from Spearfish Canyon past Roughlock Falls on 222 a gravel road that takes your Spearfish Canyon experience to the next level. The road is pretty rough and there were times an ATV would have been more appropriate, but the fern meadows and birch/aspen forests cheer you on to the alpine flower meadows and stunning view at the top.
