This in an outstanding facility for orienting oneself to geyserland. To many visitors Yellowstone is a famous place of spectacle. But a half hour here will help newcomers understand why they’re seeing the things they are. It gets jammed with people post eruption, please be patient with the limitations of staff. But the displays here to help you plan what other geysers and springs to see along with helpful information from rangers will open up the park to being much more than imagined. See more..
Nice place to start before visiting the National Parks in the area. We enjoyed the displays they had inside, especially the one showing the topography of the mountains in the area. Helped get us oriented. We purchased a Passport Book and took it to all the parks and monuments we visited during our 2-week visit out west and got a stamp for each of the places we visited.See more..
On Sept. 6 we again stopped here with 15 people on the way back from Yellowstone, figuring the welcome center would be open on a Tuesday. It was and everyone was really glad we stopped as the facility is most interesting, informative and well done, a very worthwhile stop. Most important, the little sign on the entrance doors to the main area now says open every day, unlike last time when we were so disappointed that the display rooms weren't open weekends. I change my rating from 1 to 5.See more..
we did a quick stop to this visitor center to see the Native American artists in residence. There were 2; one doing beadwork and the other was painting on animal skulls. There is a little museum behind the gift shop. the view behind the visitor center was gorgeousSee more..

This is a very nice visitor center. I was staying nearby and needed more information abut nearby activities. The center was open and well staffed with everyone using safety protocol. The travel counselor took the time to give me extra information about Flaming Gorge and I extended my stay because she was so thoughtful.See more..
Friday's at Noon is the organized public tour, though you can arrange a group tour at a time and day of your choosing. As this is a non-profit organization and not a private company, they welcome people to tour and take pictures of their operation. For three babyboomer geeks who worked in high tech and love all that goes with it, this was the perfect two-hour-plus stop. No food or anything is available, but it is a great place to see what modern computers are all about. And learn that it is more than just a calculating machine, it is a place that power and water are important for cooling and running the joint, and it is all done at a top-level environmentally friendly way. If you need a wheelchair, there is one, and there is a lot of walking, so take advantage of it. There is no charge to visit the facility. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Wyoming.See more..

5.0Meeteetse Visitor Center(3 reviews) - Friendliest People you will EVER find in any Visitor's Center! Friday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Visitor Centers • Points of Interest & Landmarks
The ladies who work this center will share everything with you, show you the good spots to enjoy and even invite you to town events! I have never met people I wanted to have as my friends more than the people of Meeteesee. Plus the thirsts are GRAEAT and the selection of Old West books is incredible. And they probably know some of the info first hand! I spent the National Day of the American Cowboy with the people of Meeteesee, and put that as one of the better times I ever had. Friendly, small town America at it's best.See more..
