Our week-long visit to Bitterroot ranch and the wonderful Fox family really was my holiday-of-a-lifetime. All four of us are experienced riders, and i am an equestrian professional, so we were really looking for a great riding holiday -and it truly was.... An astoundingly beautiful location in the heart of Wyoming, great horses suited to the needs of every rider, beautiful and varied trails, wonderful hosts, great wranglers, attention to details and to safety... I could go on and on... Good food, very cute and comfortable acco... We went on a pack trip which was extremely well organised by Richard and Chilly and took us through great terrain, all the way up to Castle Rock. Camping by the river, campfire, horses grazing nearby... But mostly it was all about the people -seriously professional, warm, funny... In just a week, we felt that we belonged there... There were probably 500-600 buffalo along the highway as I drove south from Gillette recently. So great to see these wonderful animals in such a huge concentration. Ranch is about 25 miles south ogf Gillette and they have been raising buffalo for decadesSee more..
