4.5Monon Trail(353 reviews) - What a Motivator to Exercise Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
We were visiting the area and discovered the Monon Trail. It is a lovely and lengthy trail to walk, run, skate, or bike. Just be courteous and watch out for slower walkers and children. It was not overly crowded on a May weekend and the part we were on felt very safe. With trails like this that connect different areas of town, it is a motivator to walk or bike to things rather than just hopping in the car. There are eateries, play places, and resting areas all along the way. Find the cool Carmel sign in the Midtown area for a great photo. If I remember correctly, the trail is about 26 miles long running from downtown Indianapolis up to the Carmel and Westfield areas. Great find!!See more..
4.5Cardinal Greenway(101 reviews) - A great experience! Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Biking Trails • Parks • Hiking Trails
The Greenway is a great way to get in a few to a lot of miles, conveniently located in the Muncie, Richmond, and Gaston areas. It is well maintained and most parts have very little traffic at the intersections. Right off the Richmond trailhead (at the southernmost point) are several restaurants and downtown Richmond, with antique stores and local fare. Just heads up: this is not plowed in the winter months.See more..

4.5Rivertown Trail(32 reviews) - Lock and Dam view Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
We parked at the Newburgh Lock and Dam, which was the eastern end of the trail. Bathrooms and playground are available here, along with views of the operations of the lock and dam. Taking the trail uphill yields an even better view. Above that is Indian Hill Overlook Park, which is accessible by car from French Island Trail but also on foot from the Rivertown trail. Total trail length is 5 miles.See more..

4.5Forest Park(25 reviews) - Hoppin' park Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails • Parks • Playgrounds
This park is beautiful and enjoyed by all generations. It is so sweet to see so many people using different aspects of the park. There is a pool, 9 hole golf course (with carts), mini golf, the carousel, sand volleyball, tennis, pickleball walking trails that connect to the Potter Bridge trail, bike rental, a lot of pavilions, and lots of mature trees provide shade/cool/beauty. Good job Noblesville! See more..

4.5Panhandle Pathway(6 reviews) - 20 mile north to south paved rails to trails path well maintained Spent 2-3 hours Biking Trails • Hiking Trails • Jogging Paths & Tracks
This is a very nice trail and well maintained. Because it runs north to south it can be quite hot. I recommend riding on a day that is below 80 degrees. Prevailing winds in this area are out of the south. We rode the entire trail (40 miles round trip) with a 20 mile an hour head wind. Luckily when we turned around to ride home wind was at our back and we breezed back. Stop at the bob-o-link cafe in Royal Center for a snack along the way. Great for hiking, biking, bird watching.See more..

My husband and I went here to walk the trail, which is just across the river bridge from downtown Terre Haute. It is a beautiful wetland area where you can see many birds, cranes and even bald eagles, who live near the river. It's great for West Terre Haute and is part of the parks system with connecting trails.See more..
This is the best trail in northwest Indiana. They recently expanded the trail, connecting with the trail that leads to Hobart. I love this trail because you can get in a lot of miles...reaches my all time high of 30 miles this year. It could use a little repaving near pine island, but overall smooth and flat.See more..
If you’re looking for a great path to walk or bike, this is it! Just over 2 miles on an all paved trail this runs along the Wabash River. You can also stop at anyone of the benches for a rest along the way. One end of the trail has a small parking lot and a kayak launch. The other end has a small parking area behind Hardee’s. I only saw one porta-potty.See more..

We spent our time along the waterfront portion of this trail, along the Ohio River, in downtown Evansville. The trail at this point is stunningly beautiful, with benches and interpretive signage all along. The visitor center is there, as well as the LST and many other places to admire along the way. Barges are coming through all the time - take your binoculars and just watch the river traffic for a while! And the sunsets are glorious. Nicely done, Evansville.See more..
5.0Ohio River Greenway(1 review) - Nice Path for Biking ...Along the River Biking Trails We got off to a bad start, we parked under the interstate on the Louisville, KY side of the river. We rode west into the homeless community and became uncomfortable on the bike path. Fortunately we turned east and found the pedestrian bridge to the Indiana side. All good after that. We rode three other paths on our trip: Little Miami (Milton, OH), Greenway Searcy (Murfreesboro, TN), Cardinal Greenway (Muncie, IN). This was one of our favorites.See more..
