My suggestion is to ride the ferry and back road it to Branson MO. Stop at the Protem MO gas station and get a Sandwich. We like things off the beaten path....sneak to Theodosia MO and hit up the Flea Market full of random interesting junk and treasures. A mile after the ferry on the Missouri side is Tony's Pizza...get a Taco Pizza and a draft beer it's fabulous. I guess just get out and enjoy the ride! The ferry is beautiful and the staff are friendly! See more..

Booked last minute for large group. They were more than accommodating and helpful. Our group ranged from age 65 to 5. Set us up with canoes and kayaks and lots of advice. The host made this a memorable day for all. Can’t go wrong with Riley’s! See more..
  4. 5.0 Cadron Creek Outfitters (1 review)
    - Most Exciting Kayaking in Central Arkansas
    Tuesday: Taxis & Shuttles • Gear Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing

This is without a doubt the best place in central Arkansas for canoeing, kayaking, and camping in the spring. I have been coming here with friends and family for a couple of years now and nothing else compares. I can see why they are the number one campsite in Arkansas on hipcamp.com. When you visit, be sure to walk along the beautiful spring that runs beside the Tanner Pool Hiking Trail. Depending on the time of year, you may see turkey, deer, golden eagles, otters or other local animals. If you can visit in the spring, be sure to plan a float trip. There are so many waterfalls and pretty locations to stop and take photos. I can't say enough about what a great time you will have. See more..
