  1. 4.5 City Rock Bluff (14 reviews)
    - Great View; worth getting your car dusty to find

    City Rock Bluff image
To get to this bluff requires going down a crushed limestone road that is very dusty, but it is worth it to get to a beautiful view of the White River and the surrounding countryside. The rock itself is very interesting; lots of silica so in spots it appears to be covered in sugar. :) We found prickly cactus plants growing there also. THERE IS NO RAILING, or any other safety features to block the view. Do not bring small children here. Google has it on their maps but they are a bit off where you actually access the bluff. Look for a small parking area with squared-off boulders to the right. See more..

    Mount Sequoyah image
We have stayed at many different places in Fayetteville, but Mount Sequoyah is our favorite. It is not fancy, but it is clean and friendly and very hospitable. It is a mile from Dickson Street and 2 miles to the center of campus. With a variety of accommodation styles, you are sure to find one that suits you. Some of the rooms are more dated than others, but they are all clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely accommodating. If you're so inclined, you might consider attending the Easter service held at the outdoor chapel. Lovely setting. See more..
