This is the first time we have popped into Quicksilver and had the shop full of other shoppers. I’m happy to see other people enjoying the place, but it made it harder to look at everything. All the same, we perused the jewelry cases and found a bin with some beautiful pen drawings. Downstairs was full of more artwork and garden art. I really wanted to by another bird picture for my parents, but my mother forbade me from getting another one. My mom bought one little item and we had a nice chat with the lady at the register. We popped in the gallery after peeking in the window, little did I know that I would fall in love with a new artist. Susan was informative about the artists and was able to answer all of our questions. I fell in love with the work of Craig Davinson (even shedding a tear over his "With Liberty & Justice For All" piece). Zarks is the only gallery in the US to sell his work. Overall, the gallery had wonderful collections and Susan was so friendly. We will now always stop in when we are in Eureka Springs.See more..

So my parents took me to the Momentary as we visited Bentonville on a Tuesday and Crystal Bridges is closed on Tuesdays. The museum is located in the old Kraft Cheese Factory and the Walton Foundation took efforts to preserve portions of the original building and machinery so it is part of the experience. My parents shared that the art was a tad on the weird side, but the exhibits are constantly changing so it is a bit of a gamble. The museum is free to enter and they had artwork from three different artists. My mom really liked the artwork by Sarah Cain, but it wasn't really my style. The pieces by Derrick Adams were centered around the infamous Green Book and were very though provoking. All three of us really liked the pieces by Diana Al-Hadid as they were unlike anything we had seen before (drip art is the best way to describe it). Had a really good time while we were there. They also do outdoor shows, musical performances, etc. So it has a little bit of everything. So go enjoy.See more..

Several times a year, my husband and I go to the ACO to watch plays. We are on the mailing list, so we watch it carefully. We have always been very impressed with the play selections and also the acting. The theater is very comfortable. The attire of the clientele is varied. I may be a little bias being from Louisiana but this Cajun Lady Carver has many works at Alpena Chainsaw Art at 122 East Main Street in Alpena, Arkansas that will back me up. Her wood carvings and her husbands concrete art next door are truly something worth the stop and look see. Her work can be previewed at Cajuncarver.com or their Facebook page at Alpena Chainsaw Art. She has small carvings all the way up to a full size Bigfoot. I have see many chainsaw carvings but none match the quality of this lady's work. Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries When we were visiting friends in Arkansas, they told us about this cool gallery, Art Collective in Rogers. We had never heard of the gallery or Rogers. But we're glad we did. We walked in and walked out with a set of 3 collages and one abstract painting. The owner spent a lot of time with us, showing us art they had on hand, and photos of work he could get for us from really good local and international artists.
