Family of 4 with two kids floated the river on a 6 person raft. Highly recommend if you are taking along cooler and what the security of not flipping and looking for a little extra room. Due to the higher levels of the river B.R.O. were only doing the one type of float - 11 mi (which took us 5 hrs with a couple of stops for lunch and swim). The perfect length for us. We had an absolutely beautiful day. I can’t say enough how well we were taking care of by the staff at B.R.O. In fact Jason the owner was out on the river at a particular point to make sure floaters were safe at a particular point where a tree had fallen. This tree is typically not an issue during a normal river level float. We had no issues at all. We would HIGHLY recommend the B.R.O. for doing another Buffalo River float. See more..
  2. 5.0 Silver Hill Float Service (54 reviews)

    Silver Hill Float Service image
We had three couples float last weekend. The owner was great to work with. He was very good at communicating the conditions of the water due to recent rain and had safety first in all aspects. We chose to float and had plenty of room. It was a gorgeous float with plenty of places to stop for a swim, explore, relax, etc. They have plenty of bathrooms that you can change when you arrive to Silver Hills. At the end of the float you park your car and there is changing facilities there as well. Jason dropped us off and did a fantastic job of getting the raft ready for us and explain. He also was ready for us when we were finished which was incredible since there is no way to know how long each group would take. We would definitely recommend this float and go with Silver Hill! Easy to find. Reliable. Safe. Professional. See more..

    - Excellent day on the Caddo

Caddo River Camping and Canoe Rental image
This was my first time using Caddo River Camping and Canoe. Three of us rented kayaks. I really appreciated the company sending an email with all the requirements upfront and the quick response to emailed questions through the website. Upon arrival the check in experience was smooth and the staff very friendly and thorough. The equipment was in good shape and functioned as expected. The river experience was very enjoyable except for a few close calls with other people tubing towards the end. All in all a great time had by all and would definitely use CRC again in the future! 4. 5.0 Buffalo River Float Service (28 reviews)

The staff here were amazing, they answered questions directly and efficiently. I had planned this trip a few months ago so all we had to do was show up and it went perfectly! We rented a canoe to ride the river from Spring Creek to Dillard's Ferry to test how our daughter would do on the river. It went by so perfectly and a little too fast. There was no confusion on take off from Spring Creek, but felt odd to just leave the canoe wherever on the bank at Dillard's Ferry. See more..
  5. 4.5 Lost Valley Canoe Rental (26 reviews)
    - Great float trip!

    Lost Valley Canoe Rental image
The staff at Lost Valley were super helpful in planning our trip. I called several weeks before our visit, trying to figure out what a two day float would look like, having never done one before. They were patient and helpful each time I called with questions. In the days preceding our trip, the rain was causing high river levels. We camped at Erbie Campground and even though it is super isolated with no cell service (roughly a 30-40 min ride down a dirt pot-holed rough road), and the campground is primitive, there was at least an emergency phone by the bathroom at the river. The phone would dial to a few emergency numbers, and also to Lost Valley Canoe. So we were able to stay put with camping and hiking in the days before, and still call Lost Valley daily to see what river levels were looking like to plan when we would float. They were super helpful every time! We will definitely use them again! See more..

Lucky's Caddo River Canoe and Kayak Rental image
Very nice people. The website is confusing when it gives a price for transport... that is if you bring your own kayak not in addition to renting from them. They drop in the northern part of the caddo. There were quick a few places we dragged bottom and even had to get out. If the water was any more shallow it would not have been as fun. Gorgeous scenery. No one could locate the spot reported on their site about the hot spring feeding into the river along the path. Plenty of level 1&2 rapids to make it exciting for the whole family. - Fun First float!

Caddo River Rats Canoe & Tube Rental image
Great first float. The river was not too high but not too low. It was $5 to park and $10 for a shuttle if you brought your own tubes. OR... $20 FOR A tube and shuttle to the top! Watch for trees that can get in girls pony tails. And stay away from tree lines due to the occasional snake! We saw 2 snakes. But so much fun and it felt as safe as you can get on a river! The staff was super friendly and snow cones next door were delicious See more..

Two Spirits Ltd. Canoe Adventures image
This is the best kayaking trip in Arkansas! I have been to Franks place every year over the last 6 years and every trip gets better. He shuttles our kayaks where we want to put in and we are on the river for three to four days, just fishing and paddling. The river is great, even though there are some small rapids however the fishing is amazing in late May and Early June. Franks place is a gem alongside the river and he and Susan are a treat to talk to and fellowship with. You can swim, fish, kayak, canoe, camp (cabin or tent), have group outings, even spend a quiet weekend without phone service with your spouse and Frank will cook for you and your family. He is awesome and this place is awesome. 5 Stars! See more..

We wanted to spend a day with the nature descending the buffalo river, on our way there we called the place that we made reservations the day before and they told us that it was too late (12pm) and we're never going to make it on time. So we start calling other places everybody said the same thing, until we call Gordon's Motel and this nice lady told us to come over and she'll make sure we have our ride. When we arrived and the lady was so nice. Then their van pick up us and they were so nice too, we had an awesome day, beautiful views and adventures. When we got to where they we're going to pick up us they were there already waiting for us. The canoes and equipment were in good shape and the service was really good!! See more..

    Gypsy Camp and Canoe image
This is the best place to float the river by far. The entire staff was very accommodating, friendly, and super helpful. The check-in was very smooth and efficient with minimal wait time in the shade for transportation to the drop in. I was with a group and we had more people show up than reservations for and yet somehow the staff made it work even though they were completely maxed out. Great place to camp as well. A beautiful place to spend a weekend. See more..

We were half hour late to the tour due to our miscalculation. We called to inform her but Lisa was very accommodating saying we had the private tour so no big deal. She’s very friendly and professional, knows the lake really well. She took us to see wild lives, and a special stop at an island for swimming and quartz finding. My husband was able to drop the line for fishing at various spots. She also gave us several tips on camping and local area. The kayaks and paddles that she uses are top notch - light weight and good brands. We are so happy to have taken this trip with Lisa’s company. It was a very relaxing kayaking trip. See more..

The very best! Can't say enough about how great Amanda and her husband made our family float experience. We had thirty family members camping at Buffalo Point ranging in age from 3 to 78. They made sure everything was set up and in order for a great September float from Spring Creek to Hwy 14 bridge. Shutlled our drives, set up the group with kayaks and canoes, and made it a great experience. Very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back. See more..
  17. 5.0 Southfork Resort (1 review)
    - Great place to Canoe, Raft, or Kayak
    Kayaking & Canoeing
    Southfork Resort image
This place is a hidden gem of the area. They offer canoeing, rafting, and kayaking on Spring River and the Southfork of the Spring River. No trains going by the campsite and staff was very friendly to us. We went down the 12 mile trip on the Southfork side of the Spring River. Its about a 6-8 hour trip and we really enjoyed it and took our time. Water was clear you could see the bottom on most of it. There will be some parts too shallow to canoe past but they were not too bad. Just plan for them. I didn't see any waterfalls but you will encounter some curves that will require some quick maneuvers from time to time. We really enjoyed this trip. Hope that you and your family do too. See more..
  18. 5.0 Cadron Creek Outfitters (1 review)
    - Most Exciting Kayaking in Central Arkansas
    Tuesday: Taxis & Shuttles • Gear Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing
    Cadron Creek Outfitters image
This is without a doubt the best place in central Arkansas for canoeing, kayaking, and camping in the spring. I have been coming here with friends and family for a couple of years now and nothing else compares. I can see why they are the number one campsite in Arkansas on hipcamp.com. When you visit, be sure to walk along the beautiful spring that runs beside the Tanner Pool Hiking Trail. Depending on the time of year, you may see turkey, deer, golden eagles, otters or other local animals. If you can visit in the spring, be sure to plan a float trip. There are so many waterfalls and pretty locations to stop and take photos. I can't say enough about what a great time you will have. See more..
