The Fundació Joan Miró was created by Miró himself, at first principally with works from his own private collection, with a desire to set up an internationally recognised centre in Barcelona for Miró scholarship and contemporary art research, and to disseminate the collection. The Fundació opened to the public on 10 June 1975 and has since become a dynamic centre in which Joan Miró's work coexists with cutting-edge contemporary art. The Fundació is located in a building designed by Josep Lluís Sert, making it one of the few museums anywhere in the world in which the complicity between artist and architect underpins the dialogue between the works and the space that houses them. The Fundació offers an overview of the landscapes of Joan Miró's art and life, creating an enriching dialogue with other artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. See more..

Castles
After my friend and I stayed in Lloret de Mar, we realized that the parties and fun weary of it. I studied the map of the neighborhood, and decided to take a day trip to Tossa de Mar, which I reached in just twenty minutes. I was struck by the silence and beauty of this place. It is even surprising how these two cities are opposite. There was a desire to relocate, but half of our vacation has already passed, therefore, we decided to just come and walk along the ruins of an ancient castle, which is located on the main beach. Moreover, on its top we looked at a cafe so cozy with a beautiful and relaxing view that we wanted to return. See more..

Sun loungers and parasols are also available at a cost of €7 per item per day which, for us, was well worth it. There is also a range of water sports available for a fee. It's worth noting that the beach isn't sand, more like very small pebbles/stones which get very hot to walk on during the day. I can see why this is the most visited site in Tarragona. Interesting ruins and a good audio guide. There is something special about the situation so close to the sea. Ask about a ‘combination’ ticket if you are visiting other historical sites in Tarragona. I only found out about this later as it was not mentioned by the staff. A new access is being constructed which looks as if it will give a spectacular approach to the amphitheater. A good way to get a bird’s eye view of the site is to visit the rooftop bar of the nearby Imperial Tarraco hotel. See more..
- 4.5 Jardines de Santa Clotilde (2.483 reviews)

Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Gardens
This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors. The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier. Went rafting on July 11th with Aleix from Llavorsí to Sort. We had a fantastic time from minute one as all the staff were super friendly and more importantly highly experienced and professional. We enjoyed the rapids as well as floating on calmer waters and jumping into the river from a bridge and thanks to Aleix we always felt safe but had a lot of fun. He also managed very well the atmosphere on the boat as he had the challenge to communicate in three languages: Catalan, English and Spanish.
