    A really interesting area
This well maintained area reflects the skills of the builders many years ago without the modern technology available today. It has withstood the tests of time and has retained its natural beauty and reflects the colourful local materials used. The narrow cobbled pathways take you through the buildings allowing a close up view of the original construction and how people lived hundreds of years ago. The castle and its towers create an impressive outline when standing back from the area especially at night when illuminated. Climbing the steep steps that access the top of the city wall makes one realise the effort that the inhabitants put into the overall construction. A really beautiful experience and something that should be explored and enjoyed.

    The main attraction
I have visited Tossa several times and for me the main attraction of the town is Vila Vella. It's a beautiful little area around the castle, full of ( expensive ) restaurants and nice shops. The views from the castle are magnificent. This place is what makes Tossa so special.
