    - Into the woods
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    La Fageda d'en Jorda image
Probably the most known forest in Catalonia. It's really typical to visit it in autumn, when all the leaves are yellow. There's a visitor center to advise you the best paths to walk in. The parking is not free and in autumn is crowded so I'd better to go early. See more..
  2. 5.0 Camino de Ronda (581 reviews)
    - Gorgeous Camino de Ronda
    Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas • Geologic Formations
    Camino de Ronda image
We walked about 32kms from the town Palafrugell to Sant Feliu de Guixols. We first had to walk to the coast of Calella de Palafrugell where we slept and started our journey on foot along the camino. Except for Calella, which is a gorgeous, well preserved town, the cities are not particularly nice, but it was perfect to jump from town to town in order to be able to buy food and water so we did not have to carry a lot of it. The natural areas in-between towns are stunningly beautiful. I 100% recommend walking it See more..

Fundació Mona, Centre de Recuperacio de Primats image
Fundació MONA was created to put an end to illegal trade, exploitation and abuse of primates in captivity, to report their real risk of extintion and to support their protection in the wild. Close to Girona, MONA has established one of the few animal sanctuaries in Europe that offers a home-for-life for chimps and other rescued primates, where they are able to live in natural surroundings. MONA is a place in which people become inspired, wish to further understand them, and develop a greater respect for them. See more..

  5. 5.0 Congost de Mont-rebei (287 reviews)
    - Not for the faint of heart
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Congost de Mont-rebei image
As it passes through the Mont-rebei gorge, the Noguera Ribagorcana rivers runs through the dephts of a canyon that reaches heights of 500 metres, with a span that narrows at points to less than 20 metres. It is the country's last great gorge that remains in a nearly pristine state but that is also easily accessible to visitors. It is crossed only by a bridle path that has been cut into the rock, allowing visitors to enjoy the spectacular scenery. See more..

    - Very Nice and not hard hiking with wonderful views
Spent More than 3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
    Circ de Colomers image
This hiking was one of our best days during our vacation. During the summer a taxi brings you to the starting point. You climb about 40 minutes until you get to the dam where you can find the Refugi de Colomèrs. When we where there the lake at this dam was quite empty and still it was very impressive. From there we took the shorter route - about 3.5 hours walk - which was not so easy but reasonable hike with wonderful views which is called 7 lakes. This is a full day activity and was very enjoyable. We recommend taking this hike, we simply enjoyed it. You walk in the nature and see several lakes and other kinds of nice mountain views. See more..
