This pedestrian-only street is a rite of passage for first-time travelers in Barcelona. Starting from Plaça de Catalunya, amble along the boulevard where you'll find food kiosks and spot famed attractions like the Gran Teatre del Liceu theater, the Palau de la Virreina Palace, and La Boquería market—the city’s famous marketplace. Entertainment is plenty too thanks to the human statues and caricature artists, amidst other wacky street performers. If you’re not planning to shop, enjoy a jug of sangria at any of the tapas bars and people-watch away. Parking was free in adjacent car parks and plenty of spaces. Great photo opportunities and less crowds. Somewhat spoiled by cheap imported tourist tat shops, but also surprisingly unique outlets as well. Ceramica plan as marques in the square a particular example of special items. Would return again when in the area.See more..
4.5Pont del Diable(1.685 reviews) - Great Roman aqueduct in the surroundings of Tarraco! Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Bridges
Pont del Diable (literally, Bridge of Devil) is a Roman bridge located in the surroundings of Tarragona, near Mèdol Roman Quarry, in the South of Catalonia. It is a very well preserved aqueduct used for Roman to bring water from mountains to Tarragona. It is a very nice pique-nique spot, because you can go to the bottom side, full of trees (really little forest) and to the upper side, from where you can cross all aqueduct/bridge and see very beautiful views of the surroundings (except for buildings of Tarragona, which are ugly). A fantastic place to know Roman Period in Tarraco (Tarragona in Roman Era) outside of the city. Also, it is a very recommendable place to come with children and stay during all day doing excursions, walking and learning about the past. (see also Cantera del Mèdol)See more..
4.5Mediterranean Balcony(1.316 reviews) - What can I see from the balcony? Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Mediterranean balcony is the place where travel guides recommend to start exploring Tarragona. However, to get to it, you need to go through Tarragona, so it is difficult to follow this thoughtful recommendation. However, this is really a great place to see Tarragona, which stretches its neighborhoods, docks and factories along the Mediterranean coast. From the observation deck, you can see the Roman amphitheater, the city beach, the port, the el Cerrallo district and part of the old town This is where the so-called New Rambla begins.See more..
4.5Peratallada(824 reviews) - An exquisite medieval gem Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas
This is an exquisite little medieval town where I felt l had stepped back in time. Narrow alleys leading to bright squares, flowers tumbling out of walls, bumpy and uneven cobbled streets...Peratallada has it all. There are some beautiful shops, cafés and restaurants here too. Climb the clock tower near the castle free of charge to enjoy the views over the town and to see as far as the sea and the Medes islands. Peratallada captured my heart.See more..

Was road tripping around Catalonia with my girlfriend (she is from Barcelona) and we checked out this castle. Despite the years of war and bloodshed the region has seen this castle has not be conquered by force and it is very well intact. Currently it is part of a hotel (which I am sure is lovely) but we did not stay there. Luckily there was a tour in English and we got to be escorted around the grounds and learn about he history of the castle and Cardona. The tour was worth it, as you got to see much of the castle and it's church and had a nice visual presentation at the end of it's siege during the war of Spanish succession. If you are in the area of Cardona, I highly recommend visiting this.See more..
4.5Plaça Major(616 reviews) - Fantastic main square in Vic, but on works Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Plaça Major is the main square in the old town of Vic, a town in the center of Catalonia. Really, it is the most important place in the town. If you visit thw town and walk in the old town, I am sure you come here. In the square, you can see a lot of very beautiful building, some shops and restaurants. Also each saturday here there is the main market in the town (in pre-pandemia times). A fantastic and historical place, which nowadays it is not asphalted. Great place, pitifully when I visited the town (at the end of March), some parts were on works, so you could not see all the square. 4.5Casco Antiguo de Tarragona(562 reviews) - This city that has them all! Spent More than 3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
History, roman ruins, medieval vestiges, new buildings, art, shopping, dining and the last but not the least…beaches. Many and all great. All places that I’ve seen inspire me to simply characterize them in two words. Tarragona in two words will be: Sunny, Mediterranean. The sun feels much brighter here. Me and my friends spent two days in Taragona in September and we enjoyed every single minute. It is a common destination for its beaches and being close to Barcelona so it has been said a lot about it, nothing more I can bring in here but some fresh pictures. Cheers!See more..

Built by the architech Lluis Domenech i Montaner, Casa Navas is one of the best examples of European Art Nouveau. The house was built between 1902 and 1908, and is located in the very centre of the city of Reus. Casa Navas was a project for the marriage of merchants Joaquim Navas and Josepa Blasco. It was a building that housed their new dwelling and their clothing business. It showed the Mercadal square an imposing facade of stone with a tower located in the corner, now lost to the Spanish Civil War. Casa Navas is open every day for visits. 4.5Iglesia de Santa Maria de Taull(162 reviews) - Beautiful example of Romanic Art Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
Taull is a village with 2 churches. Despite being St. Climent the most famous one I enjoyed this one much more. The reason behind is this church is still in use so the frescoes on the stone have been repainted and the original ones are in the museum. The one in the altar is just pure beauty. And once you are inside the church you feel the feeling of cozyness of a place which is nice warm, and beautiful and not the feeling of being in another touristic atraction like the other church. A Must in Taull...See more..
