Mercado Medieval, Catalonia, Spain

This is really really good

I visited the market with family and friends in December and I was impressed not only by the size of the market, but also by the standard and variety of the products. The town it self is very picturesque and worth spending time to explore. All over the market you can buy nice food and snacks. My highest recommendations.

    A different experience
It is the third visit to Vic in a period of four months. Our last visit was today and this time we were just today. We didn't know before hand there is was a Mercado Medieval event in the town. It was a really different event worth to see. It was a week day but everybody were in the streets enjoying themselves. Local artisans were trying to market their products and people. People in medieval cloths werechanting and dancing in the Vic street. Major square was worth to see. It is probably one of the best time to visit Vic.

    A good town traditional market.
Probably the best time to be up in Vic is pre Christmas and Reyes when there is a carnival mood and a lot of activities going on. Many stall holders and town people in middle age dress Catalan style. The regular range of fresh market produce and preserved goods artisan olives, anchovies, honey. We visited in late Spring, but a great market atmosphere, fresh vegetables, eggs, hams and numerous pop up stalls for prepared on the spot local food. And at the end of an explore the town walk, just what we needed.
