Breathtaking
The Basilica de la Sagrada Familia is a church devoted to the Holy Family. One of Antoni Gaudi’s most famous works, the church is perhaps best known for still being under construction since 1882—with works funded purely by donations. Take a lift to the top of the towers for a panoramic view of the city and marvel at the ornate architecture. The nativity facade and crypt have also been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status. Skip the line with a pre-booked tour with tower access, or combine your visit with another of Gaudi's work, Parc Guell. – Tripadvisor

Worth the money
This is the most beautiful Basilica in the world, a feet of engineering and design that is still ongoing. You never know what is possible to see when you go because its not finished. I have been seeing the building grow and develop for 30 years and it never ceases to amaze and awe. However in recent years they have built a really ugly fence around the building, added an exceedingly expensive entry fee (be warned you need to pre buy your ticket, they only accept internet sales) and you can be in for very long waits to get in. We went in February and the pace was really busy then.

The most iconic site in Barcelona lives up to its fame
Did the 50 min English guided tour for 30 euros per person. Definitely worthwhile to hear the explanations and story behind this historic building. Tour has headsets and had rough 20 people. Advance reservations required (often sells out). Arrive early on a weekday AM to avoid throngs of people. Also come early and allow additional time for security (checks all bags in a machine and walk through metal detector) to make it to the tour in time. Currently there is a small Christmas market behind the church.
