4.0Parc Guell(76.9k reviews)from $29.98 - Arrive early to beat the crowd Spent 1-2 hours Parks
The quirky colorful mosaics and undulating curves of Park Güell are a signature of the legendary Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who designed many of the features in this park. Officially opened in 1926 and initially planned as a district for the rich, it is now one of the city's most popular attractions and a great representation of Catalan modernism. The entrance with two fairytale-like houses and the iconic salamander fountain are the most busy. You can climb up to the highest point, El Calvari, and visit the nearby Gaudi House museum as well. Tickets are required to enter the park. – TripadvisorSee more..

4.5Jardines de Santa Clotilde(2.483 reviews) - Beautiful Relaxing Gardens Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Gardens
This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors. The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier.See more..

We've been to many national parks, both in Europe as in the United States. Aiguestortes is definitely one of my favorites. It's just so stunning! Take my favorite hike: from the Prat de Pierro parking area (where we spotted deer), to the Santa Maurice lake, to the Ratera waterfall, to the Ratera lake, to the Santa Maurice lake overview point (Mirador del Estany) and back to the Prat de Pierro parking. If you take it easy and are in good health, this could be a relaxed day hike. Bring hiking shoes! You're sure to encounter horses and cows, likely to see a salamander, and if you're lucky you'll spot a vulture (we saw one).See more..
See more..
