Beautiful Relaxing Gardens

This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors. The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier.

A peaceful walk in beautiful surrounds
Even if you are not into plants and gardens, this is still a wonderful place to check out. While it is not free entry, it is obvious that the entry is to maintain the gardens. There is information available about the statues in multiple languages and stunning views of the sea. I recommend bringing a good book and taking advantage of the many chairs looking over the water.

    Highly recommend
We started our day here, it was really gorgeous. I’d recommend to take a bus or something to get here, ‘cause it was pretty exhausting to go throught the city for 45 minutes in these temperatures. The view here is amazing, gardens are truly beautiful and you can take a lot of nice pictures… They offer discounts for students, children, etc.
