    "Hello Dali!"
You need to book. Despite being run like a military operation the tour/visit is fascinating and relaxed. Also worth making sure you park in the nearest Car Park as it is quite a hike from the town itself. Was he an artist or a skilful exhibitionist? Whatever else he was unique. Plenty of spots for good meals at the quayside in town or the nearby hotel before or after. I worked on a TV show when we interviewed him in the 1970s as he and the interviewer floated in large rubber rings in his phallic shaped pool. Can't think of anywhere like it in the world. Great visit.

Amazing bit not quite disability friendly
The building is amazing, stunning view and the art is divine. I really don’t recommend it to people with disability, children or any mobility limitation. You have to book it and pay in advance but you find out only there you basically have to go up and down the mountains near the building to get there. No buses, no taxis. And as a turist very likely you didn’t rent a car. Also many, many stairs and very steepy and old ones. And no they don’t mention it on the website. They say the building which is clearly full of stairs as well is not suitable for people with limited good mobility but they don’t say that’s difficult only even to get there. It’s actually quite harder to get there by feet than to visit the building itself.
