In fact it is the innercourt of the housing buidlings around the garden but it is accesible to the public. Silence required to be kept but that is not an issue. This former monastery garden, located in the historic heart of Oudenbosch, has grown into a green gem over the last thirty years. You can find this wonderful botanical garden - about 2500 hectares full of interesting trees and plants - directly opposite the HH Agatha et Barbara Basilica, which is a copy of St. Peter's in Rome. Here, the rich Roman life meets the world of the arboriculturist, specialising in avenue trees. A day out with a difference. A business with two sides. On the one hand they grow Hydranger (dutch name is Hortensia) flowers to sell through the business markets. On the other hand they give tours to visiting parties, they give demonstrations, and organise parties for children. We went with a bus load of senior people. We were received with coffee and a cake. We were given a talk about the busineses, and the history. We were then taken through the greenhouses where the plants grow. Afterwards we had a small demonstration of making flower arangements. We were on an arranged visit. I think you need to book and arrange what you want to see and do. Everything is on one level, so access is reasonably easy, possibly a few tight turns.
