Beautiful garden in Oudenbosch

This former monastery garden, located in the historic heart of Oudenbosch, has grown into a green gem over the last thirty years. You can find this wonderful botanical garden - about 2500 hectares full of interesting trees and plants - directly opposite the HH Agatha et Barbara Basilica, which is a copy of St. Peter's in Rome. Here, the rich Roman life meets the world of the arboriculturist, specialising in avenue trees. The entrance building is a Rijksmonument (National Heritage Site) from 1890, built by Nico Molenaar, student of the famous architect Cuijpers (who built the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, among other important buildings) It is ITS certified, and almost completely wheelchair accessible.

Very good place to stroll and see lots of trees
You would not expect such a vast nature area in this town. Lots to read abour the trees, but bring google lens to translate the Dutch. Many winding paths and different secties, like the European section and the Asian section. There are very many well kept clean red benches to sit down and breathe in the tranquility.

A number of small parks on the same grounds
A small free parking place with places for invalids in front. A coffee house with terrace just behind the entrance. Traces of its former destination as monastery garden, but also the municipal approach of collecting trees. The two elements don't mix very well, but they do give the visitor much variety. The grounds are divided in several segments with a different character, but all are constructed with a pleasure park, constructed by and for humans in mind. Many explanatory panels that help to understand what you are looking at (Dutch only, but they work well with Google translate).
