I just love Theaters Tilburg. The two buildings, though built in a different architectural style, still represent a unity through the large glass walls. For the people who keep an open eye there are many works of art to be seen in both buildings, but mostly in the Schouwburg. But my favourite location is the Concertzaal with its amazing lightning art, by Peter Struycken. And of course the sometimes very special choices in programs. The Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is located at the Markt in the centre of Eindhoven. The large hall is hexagon-shaped and has 1,250 seats. The small hall has 400 seats. The concert hall was completely renovated in 2010. We visited the Muziekgebouw for a piano concert on a Wednesday in late spring. Pianist Grigory Sokolov (1950) played Beethoven’s ‘Variations & Fuga’, Brahms’s ‘Three Intermezzi’ and Schumann’s ‘Kreisleriana Fantasies’. The concert was almost sold-out. The audience is mainly boomers. Sokolov resides in Italy and regularly tours Europe. He appeared correctly in full evening dress and walks like an aged professor. His performance was impressive. Beethoven was played in Steinway style, rather hard. Quite a different with Andres Schiff some weeks earlier in the Concertgebouw with a pianoforte. We found Sokolov to be professional and playing very well. The audience was enthusiast and let him go only after 6 encores. See more..

Very good theater with all sorts of entertainment. Have seen great operas and standup shows. Try to get a seat in the 10th row in the middle if you can, and make sure you make your reservations online. There’s a small parking area next to the theater but it can get full pretty early before the show. See more..

So everyone has been to a movie theater at least once in your life. Right? Well, not a movie theater like this one. This is a service theater. Which means...they allow you to order food, during the movie. Yes, you read that right. During the movie! You have a call button that when it is pressed, someone comes over to you, and you can order food and drinks. AND they bring what you order back to you. FANTASTIC! Right? I know, I sound like an infomercial. But, seriously! Why is this not a bigger thing than it is? Anyway, I really enjoyed going to the theater here with my friends. We watched "Going in Style" and I was laughing so hard watching it that my sides hurt by the time we left. See more..

Went to see Shang Chi while staying here a week. This theater was REALLY nice! The room we were in wasn't too large, but I loved how they have a small shelf in front of you so you can put your drink, food and other things. They also have a 'Service' button you can press to have someone come by and take your order while the movie is playing. You can also scan a QR code, and place your order yourself and they will deliver your order while the movie is playing! Love it! See more..

Love this unusual construction -glass pavilion embracing the church and this ensemble fits harmonically in the urban environment. When the old Speelhuis theater burned out in 2012 the Church of Our Lady refuged the theater and became the temporary place for theatrical activities. This temporary solution turned into permanent and the Church, built by the Dutch architect Jos Margry in 1914 in Neo-Byzantine style, became the Speelhuis Theatre. See more..

We hebben hier genoten van optredens van verschillende bands tijdens het Blommenkindersfestival. Het openluchttheater zat regelmatig helemaal vol maar het zicht op het podium bleef prima. Ook het geluid was erg goed. Mijn favoriet was het optreden van de coverband van Paul McCartney met repertoire van na zijn Beatle periode. Leuke theater om een voorstelling bij te wonen.
